- jpnarayan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I want to see how this story pans out.

- edavidt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is very intriguing to me - the potential to find out more about the man who had such a huge impact on Western civilization. I saw a special on Larry King last night. Many Christian leaders are frothing at this investigation. I say, let science proceed. We may never know the truth - but I am certainly not going to put my head in the sand and refuse to be open to many possibilities.
- art567, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WOW!!! He's made a movie bigger than Titanic!
- djm0ther, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tomb looks sacred & when you picture what your interpretation of what Jesus' tomb would appear like it matches.
- Kalai82, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i agree with edavidt here. I think it's an awesome discovery even if it didn't have anything to do with Jesus. However, what intrigues me is that it MAY be his family tomb. The possibility and probability of it is why i'll be sitting in front of my TV this sunday. Some people need to be a little bit more open minded about this, and take it with a grain of salt. No one is saying that it's factual (yet)... it's just speculation.
- ruggo57, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How will they prove it? I hope they can...somehow...
- yearginchess, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1shmeergen: Actually, Geraldo opened Al Capone's vault, and found a few empty gin bottles.
- sipsyrup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i hope they make thousands of jesus clones
- yearginchess, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Discovery Channel documentary should be very interesting. I'll be tuned in to see it, and see what evidence is produced to prove this may be the final resting place of Jesus, Mary, Mary of Magdala, et al.
The director, Simcha Jacobovici, is the host of History Channel International's "The Naked Archaeologist", which presents half-hour programs on various controversies surrounding the Bible, ancient Palestine, ancient Judaism, and ancient Christianity. He always presents various experts in archaeology and theology, presenting various sides of whatever is being discussed or challenged, such as the crucifixion, "Who wrote the Bible?", the Dead Sea Scrolls, etc.
I never change my mind by watching this program, but I do think about what is being presented, and the documentary (which will air on the Discovery Channel on March 4), I am sure, will address with a good deal of evidence the long held belief that Jesus was resurrected after being entombed for three days (or two-and-a-half, if you follow the Lenten calendar). I can't wait to see it! - Shmeergen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reminds me of Geraldo opening the would-be Hoffa tomb. Smart move not running this as a live show. 1 pt on the credibility scale right there.
