- Xaevier, on 07/15/2009, -0/+11You know I was about to pick on the poster for mispelling scientist...but then I realized he actually just copy and pasted the articles title >.> Way to go telegraph's editor, way to go.
- funkedup, on 07/15/2009, -0/+9At first I thought this was awesome, but then I thought about all the things that could possibly go wrong with this...
- Akairenn, on 07/15/2009, -0/+7It's... not a Gundam.
Come on, Japan, get with the program. We want giant killer death robots, not small offensive spy bots. - nemomarlin, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6Japan has the coolest scientists!
- RealmDown, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4For one thing, Jennifer Love-Hewitt would be constantly waving her arms....
- Serphyas, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2The CIA developed simple dragonfly/pigeon "spies" as late as the 1970s, and as far as I've heard they've already put on exhibitions for fully-functional, remote-controlled robotic dragonflies. There was some trouble brewing at a few D.C. protests back in 2007 because a few people reportedly saw dragonfly-shaped, but distinctly mechanical, bugs floating around and thought they were being used to spy on protesters.
Rest assured that most of us will probably never know the extent to which these things are used. The military sure as hell won't just tell everyone. :P - lifeisgoooooood, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Happening for the second time with me.

- Xzelick, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2How many times do we have to hear about scientists making tiny robot insects? There is a story on digg about this at least once a week, normally stating that the US military is making them. Either way we know they are making them, just let us know when they are done.
- Jaime2000, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2When will they start making tentacle robots?
- pagno, on 07/16/2009, -0/+1Theyll be great for security drones in my underground fortress.
- verynegative, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Where can I download one?
- Crowing24, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Minority Report. I would take this more seriously if I were you. Tom Cruise may very well be bat ***** crazy but robo-spiders are no joke.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1AESpJeSvU - Halsfield, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Great, now I have to worry about flies busting me for illegal drugs at the airport instead of just dogs. Also, hasnt the CIA used remote controlled mechanical flies to take covert pics for a long time?
- ArvinJA, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Going to print it with a RepRap?
- shadebane, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1How long until they make robot tentacle satan sex octopuses?
- boredco, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Apparently the software that runs them is riddled with bugs
- Amadeus2490, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1Does anyone else freak out when they imagine these robotic bugs swarming into your peehole en masse?
