- agimat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I have a whole leftover based ecosystem thriving in my fridge. Build your own!
- jmorrisseyd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm definitely going to try it.
- TheCheeta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1^^^ @ jaydee:
A.) Was it necessary to bring Jesus into this discussion? I think He has a pretty good idea on how to set up ecosystems...
B.) "kepped?" Are you serious? KEPPED???? Instead of telling others how to buy books on taking care of fish, try buying a book on the English language. - zoltan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0my buddy just got one of those glass enclosed ecosystems... it looks pretty cool and has 3 shrimp living in it... he said they are suppose to last 2-10 years and he never has to do anything but keep it out of direct sunlight and such... seemed pretty damn cool
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is this anything like when Lisa has her tooh in the soda and then those little people worship Bart.
- chabuhi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@n0other - look in the docs
@jaydee - "kept" - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'm so gonna try this!
- rc_collins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have always wondered where you can buy one of those glass enclosed ecosystems.
--dan - jaydee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0jesus!! this is just an article on how to set up a fish tank.. Anyone who has ever kepped fish knows all of this already -- buy a book on keeping fish it will be a lot more useful
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Screw enclosed ecosystems with bugs and snails. I want a boy in a bubble all to myself. I promise to keep him out of direct sunlight.
- piesforyou, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Im going to try the dry-land one. Less mess!!
- n0other, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Where are the pictures?
- greenbriel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Kepped" is my new all-time favortite spelling error. It's just byouteafull.
rc collins - you can get the enclosed glass ecosystems all over the net - a google for "enclosed glass ecosystem" returns pages of results. I think the originals were called the EcoSphere. They are pretty cool. Cooler than SeaMonkeys, which, at least in my experience, don't wear clothes, OR do tricks on command. - blubolt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'll bet that thing REEEKS by now. dead snails and worms and ants. YUCK!!!
- mandolinsrock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0jaydee: It's meant to be an ecosystem that survives on its own with no maintenance necessary, so in other words, that is not a fish tank.
- Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't find the link to the wet ecosystem, any help?
- unicom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this might help we have a ecology class this term
- charlescheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Kepped! HAHAHAHAHA The public schools ARE failing!!!
- PinkStarChicken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HEY! I'm new at diggs but I'm sure not a amateur at Eco spheres! I have Years of experience making these and freshwater Eco spheres are almost impossible to make! but i know ALL about "dry land" and marine Ecosystems that are in jars! so If you wish to buy one from me, Cheap! lol but they are cheap to buy from me and i made one and its STILL living after 2 years and its like SO healthy, it is so beautiful, all of my Eco spheres are like this. IF ANYONE HAS A QUESTION OR COMMENT, OR EVEN WANT TO KNOW HOW TO BUILD ONE LIKE I DO JUST E-MAIL ME AT pinkstarchicken@aim.com OR INSTANT MESSAGE ME! my AIM screen name is pinkstarchicken and i accept everyone so i wont ignore you! I'm also a friendly guy to talk to so we can even be friends!
- cakefart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks, this was good for a laugh in the rec.aquaria newsgroups.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"Wow, feels like I'm on slashdot now with crap stories."
It's funny, because I left Slashdot to go to K5, but I got tired of the navel-gazing on K5 and went back to Slashdot. Almost eight years since finding Slashdot, I've now hit up Digg (mostly because I always enjoyed Kevin Rose and thought it had to be pretty cool), but this place feels like a bad version of Fark (which I hate completely).
Slashdot's articles have gone downhill but at least they aren't posting the silliest kind of crap that's being frontpaged here. *sigh* - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0One Word: LAME!
- netwookiee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is stupid. It's an article on building an aquarium and an enclosed flower pot. lame.

When I first found this site, I thought it was pretty good, but now its just junk like any other "news" sites. Oh well, least the podcasts dont get this much crap. - Double-Z, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0>>Im going to try the dry-land one. Less mess!!
All the animals died after a few days! They didn't do very well. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Gay. Take a big jar, but in dirt and plants, and put it somewhere where it will get light. My mom had one for years in her glass, cost bout 8 bucks to make.
Wow, feels like I'm on slashdot now with crap stories. - jaydee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0LOL, my bad on the spelling ***** up.. still provided some entertainment, oh and by the way I run 2 successful businesses so spelling don't mean ***** really now does it boys
