- t0dd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
- Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21It adds weight to the idea that failure is as much a part of success as anything else is. It's just a shame that a lot of people don't understand that and give up when it happens (fooling themselves into thinking that if it goes wrong, then they must be going in the wrong direction, which is normally very far from the truth...they hit a hurdle, but nothing therein indicates they should change course.) Look at any successful persons history and it'll be peppered with failures in one respect or another.
- synaesthesia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Einstein was offered the presidency of Israel in 1945 but turned it down. I never knew that- I wonder what would have happened had he said yes.
- aguita, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15So does beer and drugs and they are commonly used.
- micha, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13They would have had nukes in 1950 then.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10of course he struggled, no one is perfect enough to be not flawed in some way
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14Looks like you struggled in that one.
E=MC2 is E=M*C*2
Should of been E=MC^2
So, you got it wrong. :( - antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Born on 3/14. 3.14!
- WRoach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5We don't have the theory, but we know it solves to 42.
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7@jvux
"the arabs would all be blown up to pieces, and 9/11 would never take place"
Only YOU should be 'blown up to pieces' -- for having filthy thoughts like that, you piece of *****! - ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That is a great quote... thanks, seriously, for posting it -
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4There once was a traveler named Blight, nwho could travel much faster than light.nHe departed one day,nin an Einsteinian way, nAnd came back on the previous night.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6It is more correctly written as E=MCC or E=MC^2 than E=MC2, although E=MC² is the best way to write it.
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"imagination can cloud your interpretation of reality"----------......................................................I'll try again...maybe this time the site will leave out the NNs that it keeps adding to comments......inasmuch as one is experiencing only an interpretation of reality, ratter than reality itself, they are in fact already clouded.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2jvux: "Should of been E=MC^2"
"Should of been" should have been "should have been".
So, _you_ got it wrong. ;p - mrnoob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Wow Waterdragon, you clearly have no clue as to what I was talking about, but you did give me a good laugh. The bit about that ***** "philosophy" propagated by a backwards cult really topped it off.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_field_theory - WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1right .... What is 6 X 9?
(silliness brought to you by 'the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy') - cwcentral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's well known 9/10ths of physicists are terrible Mathematicians. That's why their Physicists, they're rebellious...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The grand theory of unification -- be great if the string theorists could see this now!
- herodian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"In one sequence of 16 letters Straus criticises a line of inquiry that Einstein is pursuing and eventually persuades him to abandon it. "It would take somebody with real balls to say to Einstein, 'look, this is wrong'," said Peter Coles, a physicist at Nottingham University."
Haha, I enjoyed that. Nice find. - Sonizel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ water dragon
dont you mean 6*7? - Dakoman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2It's actually the rest energy, E(rest)
- chipset, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's already seen, documents on string theory mention TOE that Einstein was constantly looking for.
- iamROBOT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0according to H2G2, 9 x 6 = 42 ...
- aguita, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2@ WaterDragon
I think it has something to do with the breaks. I noticed that on another digg; n is a newline, and I think in somecases the is being left off. - WRoach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not so surprising as his parents were cousins.
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2There already is such a theory....it is called 'integral logic', or sometimes, 'pragmatic integralism' (as a philosophy)....You just don't know about it, or the School founded by the man who ....developed it, and continues to further develop it, along with the tens of thousands of others in the School throughout the world.
- Sonizel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@ Shillbert E=MC^2 is the same thing as E=MC² the "^" (carrat - it think it's spelled) means exponent of
- veloscaper, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1married his cousin, eewww. there was a collection of letters that came up for auction about 10 years ago that showed how much he abused his wife. not sure which one, but I think it was the cousin though I doubt things were different with the previous wife.
- scott1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I think he should given presdency of the U.S. he would be much smarter and much better then one we have now.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5the arabs would all be blown up to pieces, and 9/11 would never take place
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3"imagination can cloud your interpretation of reality!"nnnIt clearly clouds YOUR interpretation, which is far from reality.
- mrnoob, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1It's funny that I always thought of Einstein being a mathematical genius; its too bad he wasnt or we might already have a unified theory of everything :(
- micha, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4E=MC2, quite easy. Most diggers should be able to grab that concept without struggling.
- nerditup, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1so Einstein says.
- Wheemer, on 10/12/2007, -16/+2imagination can cloud your interpretation of reality
