- nreynolds, on 11/19/2008, -1/+7oh man do I have a good article for you then
- jozb, on 11/19/2008, -1/+5Cells also have memory, like when you transplant a heart or kidney, the person who receives the organ also acquires the dead persons likes and dislikes.
"Dubbed cellular memory, the theory holds that, since every cell in the body contains a complete set of genetic material, transplant patients inherit DNA from their donors that determines, in part, how a person thinks, behaves and even eats. "Hearts can have memory, as brains do," says Schwartz."

- mattycoze, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1While good to see more scientific news reach the public media... this is nothing new in scientific research circles (I just know, since I take a few subjects in this area). There are many disorders already reckoned with intracellular dis-regulation of pathways involving proteasomes, lysosomes, ubiquination, N-end rule protein degradation & protein folding and capping, oxidative stress. What comes to mind are many diseases that include 'tay sach's syndrome', alzheimers and parkinsons (perhaps attributed to alpha-synucleopathies, taupoathies), and even cancers.
- mattycoze, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1What relevance does this have to the article?
For the record, the tissue memory theory is a little controversial; no real research has looked at the evidence and the post-surgical implications on the individual's lifestyle. At the moment it just seems a little 'holistic' and spiritual to believe such heresay. - mal1964, on 11/19/2008, -2/+2Top that iPhone!
- duggdowncatisad, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1Somebody's got to haul out the trash
To the liver and the kidneys
It's not a pretty job
Carbon dioxide gets carried
To the lungs to be exhaled
And the garbage truck is the Bloodmobile - bigshuannie, on 11/19/2008, -2/+2i work there.. :)
- inactive, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1good, the body is strong. give the body proper nutrition and stop eating junk processed foods and the body will remain strong and disease free.
- inactive, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1No the Cell is programmed in assembler or C/C++.
In this case, the proteases -> pointers. - jozb, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1video for those who want more info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sudmW97FZA0
- Noncentz, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1ummm yeah.... the bailout is some *****............. that is all
- premiumtours, on 11/19/2008, -1/+0Really interesting... The question is now... Who created the cells since complexities always have a starting point...
