- tomjunlee, on 11/20/2008, -1/+24What the heck? This is a news article about an archeological dig, a family of four, and for some reason people are attacking Christianity and religions for that.
Now, I know this is digg, but man, where do you draw the line? - duewydo, on 11/20/2008, -3/+24That is very sad really. The article says that their research shows that not only are they related but that they seem to have died from wounds and have defensive wounds on them. We are continuously haunted by our bloody past and we are reminded at how little it has accomplished. Yet here we are today in the communication age, digital era and continuing the same fights and wars, killing senselessly for things long forgotten or just the wrong reasons. Our efforts would be better spent else where. It is just sad.

Face it science works bitches - Esstee, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4Not there fault really.
Religion was at the foundation of humanity in these times, people did what they felt was right.
Nevertheless, we now know very well that religion was just another reason for wars, injustice and violence, since very little has changed since then in these areas. - jehan60188, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3the other civilizations didn't practice mass family burials?
- clankster, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3Religion is just another form of tribalism, which is the main impediment to humans living together in peace.
- SteelFrog, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2It's a stop spamming your blog term.
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -3/+5Shut up. Every bad thing in history is NOT the fault of religion.
- inigomntoya, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2They were probably warding off some mutant family of apes...
- inigomntoya, on 11/20/2008, -1/+3I know - what is this?! 4chan?!
- InferiorWang, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2Except you shouldn't feed them after midnight.

- roddack, on 11/20/2008, -1/+2Except you know those things like cave drawings from 10,000 BC or Neolithic culture and and the bajillion other things pointing to us being around a lot longer.
- Andrewticus, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1Man, they don't like the facetious tone in Digg land.
I will try to be more sensitive to people's imagination when they condemn me to an eternity of hell next time...:) - Tr33fiddy, on 11/20/2008, -2/+3Initial analysis suggests that the patriarch died from incessant nagging.
- bhuntsbarger, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1wow lots of bible thumpers on digg
- inigomntoya, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1Hmm, so this was how the family feud between the Rubbles ended...
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Deviously deceptive title. Of course, that these people were a "family" is rather an assumption without the possibility of confirmation.
- onegawad, on 12/16/2008, -0/+1http://www.tune1.org

- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -2/+2And you have total faith in the dating of those cave drawings because . . . ? Try googling "radiocarbon dating problems".
