- ummmmm, on 10/11/2007, -10/+113I ██ing hate wasps!
- daRoach, on 10/11/2007, -4/+87Wasps freakin freak me out. The way the head, abdomen and thorax connect is unnatural.
- djdole, on 10/11/2007, -0/+64The notes totally ruin the picture.
It's like having some tard's really obvious comment shoved in your face while you try to enjoy the snapshot. - greatkingrat85, on 10/11/2007, -0/+46Higher Res: http://poty2006.dcmag.co.uk/photos/kaipus_photographer_of_the_year_2006_portfolio/images/158636/original.aspx
- wiedo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+45i think it needs more notes...
- mannaran, on 10/11/2007, -1/+36This small insect has more complex things than what humans know
1. Advanced aerodynamics
2. Composite eye
3. Powerful Maneuvers
4. Vertical landing and take off
5. Multi weather operation capabilities
6. Colorful catchy outer painting - MackDiesel2010, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32The thing just looks mean...like it wants to get involved in your business and mess up your *****
- mrsims82, on 10/11/2007, -1/+27I am scared ***** of those creatures but that is one ***** picture.
- airquotes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21The leaving notes on the picture feature is so ***** stupid and unneccesary
- crazybugger, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Its beautiful!
Now a days, CGI and real life images are too good to be distinguished.
I thought it was a CGI, nope its original.
AWESOME! - PeTeRZz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19nevermind, im the biggest idiot ever.
- RichGC, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20I really like pictures like these, they remind me of the many amazing things that are constantly going on around us.
Hi Res: http://static.flickr.com/68/195202407_188b9719c8_o.jpg - Taomyn, on 10/11/2007, -9/+27Yes agree it's a lovely picture - shame it's of one of the most useless creatures on the planet. I hate them too.
- Koopa, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Yeah....is there a bury as "the stuff that haunts my dreams" option?
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15I never thought I would love a photo of something I truly hate....
- greatromance, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15Seriously, enough notes already. Great photo!
- Waterrat, on 10/11/2007, -9/+23 Double that Wow and add Amazing!
- dodger6, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15The worst part about flickr is the people who think it's cool to put 2190283712093867 freaking boxes over a perfectly taken photograph to attempt to up the cool factor.
It is however (once you get past the tardboxes) an awesome photo. - Ighuc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14It has to be 'shopped, real wasps have claws and teeth!
- sixthplanet, on 10/11/2007, -12/+24Wow.
- Malakin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Here's a macro of a wasp I took with a globule of water in its mouth. I usually leave in the exif data.
http://flickr.com/photos/jasked/466702798/ - DBiz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13I was stung by one of those once... Why, oh why did I throw rocks at the nest?
Safe to say I respect wasps/hornets/bees all the same now. - Speedy7, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Nature is beautiful...
- datastorageguy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Dude they sting.
- jeriqo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10The next one is amazing too:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kaipu/195202408/ - BuckyDent, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9We all knew this was going to come back and ██ing haunt us.
- AugustZephyr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10And here I was expecting an old white guy in a 777. So much for us Anglo-Saxon Protestants.
- svivian, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Is that what all those stupid squares are all across the image? God that's incredibly annoying!
Lame, flickr, just lame. Dugg down just for that, totally destroys any 'gorgeousness' the photo had. - antoniojvr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Put it in the picture section! Oh wait...
- TheKricket, on 10/11/2007, -0/+72 dumb 11 year old boys + 2 super soaker 50's + 1 VERY bad idea = kricket running home to momma, stingers still attached
those things STILL give me the heebee jeebees - Th3_anOmoLy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Oh god... Super Soaker 50's... between this and the Nirvana cover kid Digg is causing my childhood to come rushing back.
http://www.theplaymakers.com/welcome/archives/50.jpg - Ahnteis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Normally they turn off when you aren't hovering over them, but some jerk put his "note" spam over the entire image so they stay up permanently. It's one of the annoying things that Flickr needs to fix.
- deftech, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6They aren't useless you ninny. They help keep garden ecosystems stable by killing insects that would run rampant otherwise. They function like spiders.
- timbo1138, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6That's just incredible. Round of applause for the person who took that pic!
- IllBeBack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Ha ha right now the tooltip window just says "***** - bleak". What's up with these notes?
- gotcheeze5793, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Incredible Photo!! I know those Wasps fly very fast, and it requires a great camera and incredible photography skills to master that photo I'm sure! Well Done!
- kahrn, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6I speak for the benefit of mankind when I say "KILL THE *****".
- SteelChicken, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5now imagine one of those things only 100lbs, RAWR
- Utils, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5No EXIF data? Booo!
Otherwise, I love that photo. - FastZ, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Beautifully perfect....
- elcaminos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I know, the most interesting part for me is seeing what camera they used. I hate when people leave it out.
- Sharky35, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5No, The can do both... Captain Retarded Correction.
- themastersb, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Some A-hole covered the pic with a giant tag
- Praadur, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It amazes me with the things that one can catch via camera today with the technology available and a lot of skill. I always love looking at photography, good photography of wildlife like this especially. It's quite humbling and tends to instill one with a sense of wonder.
- coviecarbine, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3dude...stfu
- M3RCINIAN, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Cool.
- FastZ, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3No *****! It would be the A-10 of the insect world!
- mlostracco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I have rarely seen the occasion on Flickr where notes add to the photo. Put the damn comments in the comments section where they belong. Just what I want when showing someone my photos—the ability to let them scribble all over them. Turn this feature off, Flickr users!
- Ndiggnation, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3You should be. I'm terrified of any flying insect now. Run screaming like a little girl. It's all because I got mobbed by a swarm of Yellow Jackets when I was a kid. In my pants, socks, underwear (use your imagination for places I got stung).
