- copypastry, on 11/04/2009, -0/+12Great images, and all on one page, too!
- FreshJive200, on 11/04/2009, -0/+5It's a series of tubes!
- khail250, on 11/04/2009, -0/+4worth the read, actually learned a few pieces of information from a digg article. I am looking forward to my next desert trip :)
- Kanten, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2But do they make a sound?
- lennynumberone, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2So, it doesn't turn to instant glass, like in the movie "Sweet Home Alabama"?
- Myztry, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Except for obvious use of a clone tool to extend the "fossilized lightning" image in two directions.
- inactive, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2That's just awesome. I always wondered what happens to things that get struck by lightning in a middle of nowhere.
- bobtheunholy, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Well yes.. but..
- iheartbakon, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2Who though the last photo was an anus?
http://webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Fu ... - inactive, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I imagine that they still cause an oscillation of pressure through the surrounding medium, even if there isn't someone there to observe it. You could argue something based on Schrodinger's Cat, but we all know that experiment was *****. The internet has taught us that cats have the ultimate frame of reference, so it's not whether the cat is dead or alive but rather whether everyone else is dead or alive.
- lennynumberone, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Who let Dr. Evil out of his padded cell?
- Jeddycakes, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Amazing
- Enlefo, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1I guess I could create a lightning gun and sell this stuff on ebay.
- inactive, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1thankfully, at least it is all on one page - none of the paginated-to-death-to-bump-up-my-advert-hits *****
- Mujokan, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1How do you specify "surrounding medium" if there's no-one there to observe it?
- johnwayne1, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1If only they looked like the ones in "sweet home alabama"
- Mujokan, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1C'est fulgurant!
- lindsayjc, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1We 'have' enough lightening to turn Afghanistan into glass tubes? Wherever do we keep this miracle weapon?
- DotFreelance, on 11/04/2009, -2/+1Man that website renders like garbage. Too much happening at once. Tone it down guys, it's the 2009 version of a 1998 style website.
- Pinkertinkle, on 11/04/2009, -10/+1Let's turn Afghanistan into one giant piece of fulgurite. We have the firepower, why not do it?
