It may not matter to you whether the Earth is thousands or billions of years old, it absolutely does matter to science and our understanding of the universe. Take a geology course from a reputable university if you are that interested in the subject.

I love how rizzono talks about lets criticize the Christians, when it isn't the Christians getting attacked, it is the creationists that are pulling BS out of their asses. Second, using the term darwinism proves your ignorance of the facts, and how outdated your resources truly are. Darwin only started the concept, thousands of scientists over the last 200 years have fine tuned it with new evidence, fossils, physics, genetics, and so on. You have nothing that you are standing on other than you just saying crap. You have no proof, no evidence, no nothing that proves you are right. Chance is an uneducated man's word. No one uses the word chance unless they are talking about a board game, because the definition of the word chance doesn't really define anything accurately. It is like saying randomly, but when you take "chance" and measure it over time, you get probability, which is a measurable quantitative term. Chance and random is not measurable or quantitative. The odds of becoming pregnant is probability, but you are trying to claim it as chance through your reference.

Except for the fact that there are thousands and millions of things that confirm evolution.
- Genetics
According to evolution animals closely related would have similar genetics, while animals that are further related would be less similar, and so on. Through genetics we can see that we are closely related to other apes, further related to whales/dogs/cows/etc, and even further related to dinosaurs and other non-mammal species.
- Geological
According to evolution you will not find the fossils of a human below fossils of a dinosaur in the geological layers unless the humans were buried there.
- Physics
Using Uranium-lead, Samarium-neodymium, Potassium-argon, Rubidium-strontium, Uranium-thorium, Radiocarbon, Fission, Chlorine-36 and other dating methods, the fossils will date back to the appropriate time. There is no event that can cause all of these dating methods to all be skewed at the same time, not even 10% of these dating methods actually. So even if 4 dating methods got skewed at the same time, you still have dozens of other dating methods that will still record accurately.
When dating method are skewed the probability of them skewing in a way that allows them to align back up to read the same time frame is so improbable that one would call it impossible. This would be the initial dating. After the initial dating they take samples from the soil from all of the layers above to so they can trace down all of the inaccuracies that can be caused by various events, from there they double check that the dating is accurate through even the lines that were inaccurate through a raid type process, where if one fails, the others will still be able to track, then when you go lower the one that got skewed will go back to recording time like normal. (I have a feeling this is far beyond your capabilities of understand, because honestly it is beyond the majority of people's understanding without going over it a couple dozen times, because the dating process is definitely not a basic thing that people want to make it out to be.) - Moralogic, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1No, not one bit. That means there is an afterlife, that would be awesome, but there is no proof of that at all other their mythologies that we can see the development of throughout human history. We know exactly where the Noah flood myth came from, and are even coming close to finding the roots of the Atlantis and garden of eden stories, which we have already found out are actually the same, just separated and changed over thousands of years of people passing the story down.

Just to let you know the Bible is not a book about dinosaurs and anyone that knows the Bible knows that from Genesis 1:1 It says in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. There is no date put on it! Anyone that wants to guess how old the earth is is just guessing. Whether it be thousands, millions, billions, it is dateless and really doesn't matter. Concerning dinosaurs people always assume that when the Bible says God created all the things on earth including man, people jump to the conclusion that this was the first creation on earth. Their could have easily been times past that when their was a pre Adam creation that could have included some type of ancient human species and even dinosaurs as evidence by the fossils. Why people are so closed and rigid on these issues I will never know.
