- Error601, on 11/02/2007, -4/+123A good example of how to make a series of pictures suck to view by sticking them in a flash displayer.
- sarazen, on 11/01/2007, -4/+106So many of them are black and white and very old. I guess most ghosts think color makes them look fat.
- krets, on 11/02/2007, -4/+86I hate little kid ghosts. They freak me the F out.
- chicoer2001, on 11/01/2007, -7/+77It seems like many of the 'ghosts' are made because of bad photo developing.
- starla8383, on 11/01/2007, -5/+69The picture of the ghost holding on to the stair railing really gave me the creeps.
Even though, intellectually, I don't believe in ghosts, pictures like this always freak me out a little... especially when it's the middle of the night and I'm by myself. - Louis11, on 11/01/2007, -1/+65So whats the deal with ghosts and clothes? You never see a naked ghost . . .
- Varney, on 11/01/2007, -10/+74zombies > ghosts
- jsd8cc, on 11/02/2007, -2/+65Most of these look like superimposition caused by faulty developing. Some are pretty creepy though, like the girl in the burning building.
- NoStoppingUs, on 11/01/2007, -2/+65"by myself"
thats what YOU think. mwahahahaha - scallon, on 10/30/2007, -1/+44Digg: Home to competitions about *everything*
- inactive, on 11/01/2007, -0/+37Yes, why does ghost porn have to be so elusive?
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -1/+36It's also interesting how ghosts don't seem to like digital cameras.
- BlazinEurasian, on 10/29/2007, -0/+33After looking through those at 2 in the morning in my cold room I have to watch a solid 10 minutes of porn to ease my mind.
- Feep, on 11/01/2007, -7/+40Protoshopped.
- mrurc, on 10/30/2007, -0/+32Ceiling cat already knows. Give up the ghost, man!
- ez12a, on 10/29/2007, -0/+32she wants you to stop looking at naughty things on the computer.
- dynacrylic, on 10/31/2007, -2/+34Sorry, but I'm skeptical of the the oil tanker one and St Botoloph's Church photo due to matrixing (meaning that the human brain tends to shape seemingly jumbled patterns into a coherent and familiar image).
- louiedog, on 11/14/2007, -3/+35Twice as bad because there are only two lines of text. WTF? I'd rather read Harlequin romance novels tattooed onto a fat man's ass than try and read these captions.
- inactive, on 10/29/2007, -0/+28I'm hiding in your house.
- rjosal, on 10/30/2007, -2/+29I'm at 1680x1050 and I can only see two lines of information at a time. Hell.
- inactive, on 11/01/2007, -6/+33Most of those are also very fake. Double exposure is no longer a photographer's secret.
- smedrick, on 10/31/2007, -0/+27Ghosts are perverts like that.
- Toshibi, on 10/26/2007, -1/+27A non-repeating, full torso, vaporous apparition! And it's real!
- dion1772, on 10/30/2007, -1/+26What about ghost zombies?
- gmprunner, on 10/29/2007, -2/+25BS. Ghosts can go through stuff, can turn invisible, and are almost invincible (except for vacuum cleaners). Zombies just cruise around, tripping on stuff, and usually die pretty fast when shot in the head or burned.
- Boddhistava, on 10/27/2007, -0/+22what is the exact nature of a ghost, particle or wave ? I think that can be cool if you put a some ghosts into a particle accelerator and crush them together to create a new kind of ghost (Higg's boson ghost ?).If we can transmitting ghosts faster than the speed of light is possible to send them back in time, so the ghost will see him alive
- dasdef, on 10/29/2007, -0/+21i feel proud of myself for clicking through each photo in the dark. i am a man!!!
now to smoke a joint outside. EEP. - humanerror, on 04/03/2008, -0/+20Sadly, that particular remedy has been ruined for me, forever.
There was this Japanese porn video going around a few years ago that I downloaded from an ftp site and started watching (no descriptions, no context, just a title something like DF588822.avi).
It's this reasonably sexy japanese girl and a japanese guy in what appears to be a normal, if somewhat cluttered and messy, Japanese apartment. So they're going at it and it's all good, but after a minute or so I started to notice something weird in the jumble of stuff in the background. At first I thought, wtf this guy has a sex doll in his room? Is that a prop? But the more I looked I still couldn't make out exactly what it was. It looked like a white doll face or mask with empty black eyes and no expression, just thrown in with a pile of stuff on the other side of the room, just off in the corner in the background of the shot. So just as I'm starting to decide it's nothing and go back to watching the two going at it, the video stops and the camera suddenly zooms in on the terrifying doll mask thing.
To this day I have no idea what it was because I jumped up out of my chair and fell on the floor twitching and scrambling for ALT+F4.
And that file is still lurking around on my hard drive somewhere, waiting there like a land mine for the day when I notice it and think, hmm what's this? *click* (´ д`) - MalDON, on 10/29/2007, -0/+19Not really, there are many colors that cameras pick up that the eye can't. For eample, bounce boards seem useless while shooting a film, but when you look at the recorded footage you notice that it is actually quite helpful.
- elvenseven, on 10/29/2007, -2/+20Ghosts are so 1994
- AuburnTigers, on 10/29/2007, -0/+18Um, that thing in the car is her grandMOTHER? I swear that looks like a man. And the stairwell one is waaay too detailed to be real. Plus she's doing the classic ghost pose. I would think a real ghost would look like a normal person, e.g. the guy in the Air Force picture.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -1/+18That last one is so ***** creepy. That one and the one with the eyes in the car.
- 1town, on 10/29/2007, -9/+25The idea that a device that only captures light can actually see something that the human eye can't is ridiculous.
- Pheter, on 10/29/2007, -2/+18Oh hai. Im in your cab hitchin a ride.
- Tippis, on 10/29/2007, -0/+15...but apparently, even at that stage, it had better layer effects than the GIMP
- MalDON, on 10/29/2007, -0/+15I've actually considered that.

Ok this one is from my first hand account. I won't come to any conclusions that it is a ghost, but I'll tell you the story behind this photo anyways.
I was stationed in Japan, which has a ton of ghost stories. I was on a month of a late shift so I was naturally up on a late hour in my barracks. I was playing Counter-Strike Source beta when this event happened. Suddenly my game froze, so I tried to alt-tab, Ctrl-alt-del out. Windows got it's task bar in, but the game's graphics sorta dissolved into a glob of pixels. When the animations stopped and my comp totally frozen this was the result. I sat there for like 5 minutes wondering what the hell is this? I came to realize that this almost resembled a female's face.
I've heard a lot of accounts from my shipmates about ghosts on the bases so on my late patrols I go "ghost hunting" when there's nothing to do. This being the closest thing I had to an encounter I grabbed my digital camera and took the photo risking spiritual possession and a hefty exorcist fee. Most people claim that sitings occur around 2-3 AM... which was about the time I took this pic.
Also yes I do keep my barracks room a mess like that and yes I am a total nerd. You can find lots of nerdy stuff in Akihabara. - ZenMojo, on 10/27/2007, -0/+15It was the very, very early beta...
- MalDON, on 10/31/2007, -2/+16I had this glass of water next to me, and right after I watched the youtube the ice settled into the cup and it scared the ***** out of me.
- louiedog, on 10/31/2007, -1/+15I don't believe in ghosts and I think that show is crap, but man Eastern State Penitentiary is a creepy fun place. They do a haunted house there every year and it's got the best setting of any Halloween thing I've ever been to. What could be scarier than an old prison where almost everyone went nuts?
- chimona, on 10/31/2007, -0/+14why would anyone wanna watch you masturbate?
- glucoseboy, on 10/27/2007, -0/+14Oh why did I look at these photos, right before bed?
- Sarek1701A, on 10/27/2007, -1/+15I see dumb people.
- Spiffypants, on 10/27/2007, -1/+14That's exactly what I came here to say. Why would clothes follow you to the after life? It makes no sense.
- alevel27mage, on 11/03/2007, -2/+15The way I heard to explain it is to close your eyes and picture yourself. Are you wearing clothes? The vast majority of people would say yes. It's like the Matrix: residual self image.
Not that I believe in ghosts, but that's what I've heard from friends. - ZenMojo, on 10/30/2007, -0/+13Because digital cameras are so hard to photoshop.
- fweepa, on 10/29/2007, -0/+13I don't care if they're results of bad photo developing or what, they are just down right creepy, no matter which way you look at it. The girl in the burning building and the woman climbing the staircase really got me. Shouldn't admit it, but i had to turn on the light :/
- Myonosken, on 10/29/2007, -0/+12Upload the video please.
- cardshark69, on 10/31/2007, -0/+12Why would your body follow you into the afterlife?
- ZenMojo, on 10/29/2007, -2/+13Pics or it didn't...nevermind.
