- enigmatics, on 12/18/2008, -1/+4That article was about the initial findings as they pertained to shipping. This article is from a new study showing that water stratification also pertains to small objects such as humans.
- savocado, on 12/18/2008, -5/+8I hate f-ing pseudo-science.
- donkevin, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2It was probably the only picture on the page? Digg suggests thumbnails, and I guess the submitter didn't look at which one.
- RutgerB, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Lol, you actually took the time to check where I'm from?
- SolarTantrum, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2DUG FOR DARKWATER REFERENCE ^_^
- Myztry, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Different dynamics in salt water bodies causing dead water.
I'm going to find a really salty bit of water, and call it the Dead Sea...
Darn, someone bet me to it :)
So much for my Dead Sea buoyancy vest idea... - TheMachine1, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2I thought they cracked down on weed sales in your country?
- Phalanxia, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Well why did he submit it in the thumbnail, dummy?
- protoopus, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2cough *garp* cough
- Myztry, on 12/18/2008, -0/+2Don't worry. The underwater swell makes it harder for the SHARKS to get you :)

For those that didn't get it.
LCD's use full power to produce a white screen. Using a black screes saves 75% exactly. - SSUK, on 12/18/2008, -1/+2It's called an advertisement.
- stk198323, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1I,m just wondering if people posting random ***** like this really find themselves interesting or it's more of an; I,ll try to be totally random so people will go wtf?.
Seriously tough, did you really find any ''fun'' in writting a totaly crappy story that is in no way related to anything concerning the article?
Maybe you should try to grow up a bit. - evenstarred, on 12/18/2008, -0/+1I love that show!
Tim Curry did the voice of Konk (the peg legged pirate).
Even though I was 8, I still thought Ren was hot... - Muspar, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1Eeeeeeevil science!
- Coinspinner, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1So that's why I suck at the swim portion of a Tri.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabies#Treatments - SplashDog, on 12/18/2008, -0/+0Hey diggers. Someone needs to patent a pool-water blender. I swim about 1.5 miles a day and have noticed this phenomenon on occasion. I always had put it off to off to muscle weariness, or just being out of sorts. Now I can blame the water. Very cool post!
- inactive, on 12/18/2008, -1/+1I hate to say it but this phenomenon was well known when I was in the Navy ... 30 years ago.
- thetrza, on 12/18/2008, -5/+3I thought it was under-tow?
- MxM111, on 12/18/2008, -4/+1Why would 30% reduction of the speed of the strong swimmer would lead to the drowning? I do not see scientific explanation of that, and in fact any explanation. To swim 30% more is not a big deal when you are a good swimmer.
- Beautyon, on 12/18/2008, -10/+4This is the REAL evil water:
Masaru Emoto (江本勝 Emoto Masaru?, born July 22, 1943) is a Japanese author known for his controversial claim that if human speech or thoughts are directed at water droplets before they are frozen, images of the resulting water crystals will be beautiful or ugly depending upon whether the words or thoughts were positive or negative. Emoto claims this can be achieved through prayer, music or by attaching written words to a container of water.
