- raid517, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5What it means dear boy is that the two competing theories of black hole mechanics disagreed to a certain extent with one another - but that until now we lacked sufficient observational data to be able to determine which one was the most accurate. Now we have sound observational data from several highly reliable sources and it appears what we have found is that the evidence supports one viewpoint (namely the 'Synchrotron Radiation theory) more strongly than the other proposed model. (Commonly referred to as the 'Inverse-Compton theory').
