except, the colours are reversed - intelmustdie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"Hillarious.. I was expecting something worth seeing.."
If you expected some big picture of Earth you must be retarded. When you view Mars from Earth it looks like a slightly larger, darker star. What made you think Earth wouldn't look much the same on the other side of the fence? - otomo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anyone who says this picture sucks can feel free to go to mars and take a better picture.
Keep in mind the cameras have to survive VERY high g forces for takeoff and landing (over 10g for landing). Most won't.
Before you diss the pictures understand the technological hurdles needed to get the cameras there. That determines their resolution. I consider it to be a damn good picture considering all the above. - Rirath, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Earth, eh? I've heard of it before, but I'm not really into this whole astronomy thing. All them dots look the same, what's so special about this 'Earth'? Maybe some day they'll send a robot to this 'Earth' to explore it. It probably has some interesting rocks or soil patterns or /something/.
/blatant, obvious sarcasm - camtech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2pretty detailed picture. they even left all the extra top and bottom sky part on to make it more dramatic. :)

Must all stories submitted be new? It hasn't been submitted before and only recently uncovered (aka "dugg"). :) - daboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it sorta makes you think of something deep and spiritual and meaningful and artsy and the like, but since i can't think of anything, i'll leave it to your imaginations.

Damn, I hate when that happens. You would think they would have centered the DOT, so it would LOOK more important. They just filtered everything else out. How gauche!! (sp)
