- roosevans, on 05/15/2008, -0/+7The fossil record affirms the existence of dinosaurs and the Grand Canyon affirms the fact of earth being hit by meteors and comets, so the theory that comet showers precipitated the extinction of the dinosaurs seems reasonable to me. I am often amazed at the similarity between religious myths and scientific theory and how both many times harmonize with each other. When you think about it, a scientific theory is a myth until it is proved by facts and a religious myth is fact until the religion is rejected. Like Albert Einstein said "science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
- cashman57, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4IMHO, and you can take it for what you think it is worth, the Grand Canyon was a result of massively melting glaciers which eroded the canyon with both the force of water and ice.
