- ssquared22, on 08/26/2008, -1/+43If this works, we are one step closer to early detection, which is phenomenal.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -1/+34I know the article is mainly about laser beams, but I had no idea dogs could sniff cancer by smell.
That being said, my little pooch will be sniffing my ass daily to check for prostate cancer. - inactive, on 08/27/2008, -2/+25good luck getting those off the sharks

- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -1/+5According to the title, this is literally the most unlikely discovery to ever take place.
- thrillki1l, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4Ya there have been cancer sniffing dogs for a long time. They are mainly used for skin cancer cause anything deeper in the body that isn't already a big tumor is harder to smell. Some really sensitive cancer dogs can smell inside the body and catch the tumor before it's too big.
- DimensionalPunk, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4Now we have to worry about breath cancer? What's next shadow cancer?
- TheCasablancan, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4Oh snap.
- jtbell04, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3This article: Most likely story to end up on Digg's front page on the merits of the title alone.
- nomadofthewaves, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3I couldn't of been at a DAY spa for 2 weeks....

- angryredplanet, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Doctors have known that dogs can detect many different types of cancers including but not limited to lung, breast, prostate, bladder and skin.

There are chemical markers that indicate cancer in human waste; breath and urine. The trick is in isolating them and training dogs to detect them. Recent findings have proven an astonishingly high success rate.
Although this is very cool and I empathise with those who are unfortunate enough to require a cancer prognosis, I'd much rather have a friendly dog check me over than get my breath laser-ed. Dogs are so awesome! - Godin7654, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Which was the last word in the title...
- Sniper, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Cure cancer.
- Asianwaste, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2For now
- TheHardDisk, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2I hear she used to be a man.
- GoneGreen, on 08/27/2008, -2/+4Call me when they can cure cancer with a laser, until then get to work.
- Squidwalk, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2All lasers are profit lasers.
- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -1/+3Predatory animals have abilities to sense all kinds of weaknesses in prey. This is a carry over from that. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
