- diargasm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Never been a fan of dark chocolate. I'm more of a Beyonce fan than a Kelly Rowland fan.
- neomorphic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did anybody look at the URL? It looks like the Swiss are trying to convince us that one of their major exports is good for you. Could this research be slightly biased?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0er anandamide
- ctheory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another article that further proves that most nutritionists don't have a ***** clue!
To quote Lewis Black: "First you say, eggs are good! Then you say eggs are bad. Then you say, eggs are bad, but the insides might be good...but really it's the inside thats bad and MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND." - TridenTBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hate Dark chocolate. It makes me sick as hell, chocolate overall does...IF YOU WANT TO NEVER EAT CHOCOLATE AGAIN, EAT A HUGE BAG OF HERSHEY KISSES IN 30 MINUTES.. It's worked for me.
- buss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well this gives me an excellent reason to buy a box of ghirardelli
- MajorOutage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yay, another excuse to pig out on the stuff :D
- kday, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This has been around for ages.
Dark chocolate tastes the best! - corvin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Only a small daily treat of dark chocolate may substantially increase the amount of antioxidant intake and beneficially affect vascular health.....good...........
........but then you also get an increase in the chance of getting brain cancer..........bad
......but you also get a discount on your next purchas of 2 lbs. of milk chocolate.......good
......the milk chocolate causes you internal bleeding..........bad..... - mephitix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0seems like a lot of stuff nowadays cuts down your risk for heart disease. Oh well, all i know is dark chocolate makes me horny. Seriously, I can prove it...
- Itkovian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Quality chocolate: Cote d'Or.
- Rolandami, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Where is a good place on line to get good quality dark chocolate?
- Kriz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pure cocoa is very good for you, It's the sugar and the milkfat that you have to have in moderation.
Hot chocolate made from cocoa powder, a little bit of sugar, and lowfat milk is probably the best way to enjoy chocolate while still keeping it healthy, apart from dark chocolate. - lostngone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ummm, Dark Chocolate,
Does anyone else have Jungle Fever! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1chocolate is also one of the few foods that contain a chemical that binds to cb receptors in the brain like marijuana.. unfortuantely you would need 50# for the effects of one joint and chocolate doesnt burn well.
- Advocate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, but in 6 months they will find that it also causes cancer....
- jschrab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A "serving" of Dove dark chocolate "Promises" is 40g - 5 pieces (this is not spam, I really DO love the stuff). 'Course part of the reason they are so good is the butterfat in them...
I keep a jar full at my desk at work. I've been meaning to put a plaque on the jar with the words "Human Female Bait" for sometime now. But it works just as well without the label.
Anyone that doesn't like dark chocolate...:
1) ...hasn't had *really good* dark chocolate ever
2) ...is unknowingly allergic chocolate (it does happen - a pity)
3) ...has no taste - Dagur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0These "studies" come every christmas and easter. It's getting annoying
- freonchill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i like dark chocolate better than milk chocolate; its got more "spunk"
that and well as i have grown older ive lost my sweet tooth and prefer more spicy and salty foods; the dark chocolate is more bitter than sweet, which is good stuff in my book! - animalmuther76, on 07/30/2008, -0/+0I prefer dark choocy to milk, In the UK we have choclate oranges (i didnt see any when i was in NY) and the dark choc and orange combo is really nice. Question for our american buddies, does all your choccy taste like hurshey's? It tastes really weird, it sorta tastes like its got cheese in it.

http://digg.com/links/Pledge_against_EU_Data_Retention_laws - soros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've read that because most of the chocolate coming out of african countries is contaminated with lead. Even in an episode of CSI (vegas) they involved this idea in one of their cases, although I'm not sure if they were saying it was lead. They still uses leaded gas over there I guess. So, dark chocolate is good for your heart but bad for your brain.
- rekrapt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mmmmmmmm... Chocolate.
- holojames, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lindt 86% Chocolate!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'll eat dark, but Milk chocolate is the best. I would never be able to eat enough chocolate to get myself sick. Chocolate is a yummy treat, too much is not good if you can't handle it.
http://www.dpodgor.net - Xophmeister, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've noticed a few people have said they don't like dark chocolate... Have you ever tried real dark chocolate? Not Lindt 70%/85% rubbish either. REAL stuff. Call me a snob if you must (I prefer "connoisseur") but single estate/origin/variety stuff (single estate is best) is not at all like "regular" dark chocolate. It rocks more than you can imagine!
Don't knock dark chocolate until you have tried a single estate bar from Venezuela, or a bar made from porcelana criollo beans (which will almost certainly be from a single estate in Venezuela, anyway). If you like coffee, try some from a Caribbean estate. - dhughes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 Of course always everything moderation. If you eat too much you may get too much theobromine, depending on your body weight, but I doubt anyone could eat that much. Theobromine is bad for dogs though. I prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate, it has much more flavour anyway.
- hammerattack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Part of my post-workout meal regimen includes about 4 ounces of dark chocolate. The bioflavonoids in dark chocolate have antiinflammatory properties and help with cardiovascular health. The sugar helps stabilize my blood glucose levels so I don't get those annoying shakes and sweats for the next two hours after. Also, chocolate is rich in phytoestrogen, which is one more reason why women dig them, but for men it helps calm some of those aggressive tendencies that develop during workouts... you know, the kind that make you drop weights on the floor and make loud grunting noises. Okay, so that's just me...
- Daikun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I've seen that study somewhere before.
Like, a really long time ago. - Calculon64, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Too bad dark chocolate tastes like ass.

http://www.frontlinetech.blogspot.com - Inbal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"New" study?! A bit of dark chocolate, red wine and beer every day is good for you - that's very old news. People just have trouble comprehending the idea of fun being healthy, that goes for cannabis too.
- SweetsGreen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I heard this a year ago
- johnhr11, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0cocoasmart.com/east they sell pills with all the health benifits of dark chocolate and none of the fat. made from 100% cocoa beans.
