- pingpants, on 04/02/2009, -0/+31One for my backyard surrounded by an electrified fence, please.
- khaosx2030, on 04/03/2009, -0/+16Kentucky Fried Dinosaur just doesn't have that ring to it.
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -1/+17Chicken-flavored dinosaurs! :D
- Rapax, on 04/03/2009, -0/+15That whole 'mitocondrial eve' thing keeps popping up in popular science bits, and so far, I haven't seen one of them explain it correctly. Seriously, it's not that complicated:
Take two humans, you and me for instance, and plot out family trees back a few generations. With each generation, the number of great(-great-great-etc)grandmothers on that tree becomes larger and larger. At some point, we'll find someone who's a member of both family trees. That would be our latest common female ancestor. Now do the same for a third person, until you find someone who's in all three families. Keep doing so until you've included everyone on earth...and the first person you find that is a member of all families is 'mitochondrial eve'. But this does not mean that at one time there was only one women. - pe5t1lence, on 04/03/2009, -0/+15BACK into dinosaurs... have you ever seen a cassowary, it totally still IS a dinosaur!

http://www.daintreebirdwatching.com.au/images/cass ... - poidh, on 04/03/2009, -0/+13Just don't employ a broke, morally deficient fat guy to run the show as he will disable your systems and run off with a shaving foam can full of DNA, and you will get eaten by your velociraptors. Just don't say I didn't warn you.
- brainflakes, on 04/03/2009, -0/+11Chickens kind of are dinosaurs anyway (theropods). Birds are to dinosaurs as bats are to mammals (at least the current theory goes)
- MarkusX, on 04/03/2009, -0/+11If we could just reactivate those genes, it'd be Jurassic Park for real.
- adriaaan, on 04/03/2009, -1/+9So it was the dinosaurs that came first, not the egg or the chicken. It all makes sense now!
- Casserole69, on 04/03/2009, -0/+8I'd prefer Kentucky Fried Chocobos.
- poidh, on 04/03/2009, -0/+7Bacon flavour would be better.
- andreasblixt, on 04/03/2009, -0/+6I wonder if Digg is trying to tell us that we will become d1nn3r if we support this.
- nerdromancer, on 04/03/2009, -0/+6ultramegachicken? no no, he is legend.
- grodani, on 04/03/2009, -0/+6Thank you. Those pictures made me strangely happy.
- laxative, on 04/03/2009, -0/+6http://digg.com/d1nn3r ... Huh
- Ziggy7273, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5yesssss.... but which came first, the dinosaur or the egg.
- Chicken2nite, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5by eating half the population of the world... Brilliant!
- avianeddy, on 04/03/2009, -0/+5Fun stuff :D

Technically, chickens (like all birds) ARE dinosaurs. - C9Silver, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4Q: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
A: Neither. The Dinosaur. - luckyme77, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4which would be a good thing or a bad thing?
- 03fb, on 04/03/2009, -2/+6De-evolve ducks!
- luken7, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4Bacon flavored Chicken dinosaurs, now that would solve world hunger...
- BiscuitChief, on 04/03/2009, -0/+4So does this mean grossly obese people have really just had their puffer fish gene reactivated?
- ihavebeenseen, on 04/03/2009, -2/+6Did you see the size of that chicken?!
- dazparkour, on 04/03/2009, -1/+5It's just like the Super Mario movie all over again...
- ratherstupid, on 04/03/2009, -1/+5There was no "first woman". For that matter, there also wasn't a "first man".
- lamiaconfitor, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3or, dinosaur flavored chickens!
- archaist, on 04/03/2009, -1/+4Can you imagine? Little pot-bellied dinosaurs you can keep as pets around the house.
- Data33, on 04/03/2009, -1/+4Nature will find a way :)
- Kestrel, on 04/03/2009, -1/+4Funnily enough, the chicken is a direct descendant of Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- mHtt, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3hahah it linked to: http://digg.com/d1nn3r
mmm dinner... - Revovisionary, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3I'm pretty sure our atmosphere wouldn't support it. There was a much higher percentage of oxygen in the air when dinosaurs were walking around.
- phenom2k7, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Good. T-Rex steaks, yummeh !
- AaronCo, on 04/03/2009, -0/+3Wait. Do you mean with a little genetic engineering I could turn a chicken into a little mini pet dinosaur? Because that would be awesome!
I can just see LOLdinos, "I can haz velociraptor?" - 03fb, on 04/03/2009, -1/+4but dinosaurs came from eggs?
- gllopc, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2@ratherstupid: You are correct, sir.
- gllopc, on 04/03/2009, -1/+3As I understood this concept, that "first woman" would be a cellular organism; not a real human woman.
- FreeTalkLIve, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2Do it.
- MasterGrief, on 04/03/2009, -0/+2Kentucky Fried Panda!

- teh_techie, on 04/03/2009, -0/+11
- bazzarr, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1Personally, I could really use my John Holmes gene reactivated.
