Instead of writing a comment or a reply to this comment, just write a quick "Marijuana should be taxed and regulated" or "Industrial hemp needs to be legal to boost our economy and make more food sources available" etc. It'll take 4 minutes. You know I'm right.
Ctrl + T - tsitneics, on 11/23/2008, -12/+136LEGALIZE IT!
- evilcaptain, on 11/23/2008, -7/+131I'm convinced more and more that Cannabis can save the world.
Is there nothing it can't do? - milkshaker, on 11/23/2008, -8/+117marijuana is not a drug, its a leaf
-governator - KSUdesigner, on 11/23/2008, -6/+95Yes, it can't kill you. :)
- KSUdesigner, on 11/23/2008, -4/+62Because that's the only way that they would ever make it legal. They don't legalize anything if they can't tax it.
- Paulorific, on 11/23/2008, -4/+60It's cool it does those things but it isn't necessary for it to be a miracle drug to legalize it. Does it kill people? No. Is it addictive? No. Is it significantly more dangerous than other legally available drugs? No. Legalize it.
(have never smoked anything in my life) - elo91, on 11/23/2008, -12/+68marijuana makes your memory....better? i call shenanigans..
- groo68, on 11/23/2008, -2/+46well you could make a rope out of it and hang yourself, but then it's just assisted suicide.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -0/+41Maybe so, but it *can* make bacon taste even better!
- korbandallas, on 11/23/2008, -0/+37It can make me make bacon
- CaptainCool53, on 11/23/2008, -1/+38Maybe if more people stop seeing this as the government *letting* us use marijuana, and start seeing it as the government recognizing our civil and human rights by striking down useless drug laws, we'll achieve this.
- stinkipete, on 11/23/2008, -9/+45***** + off
- alais, on 11/23/2008, -3/+35Eh, what was this article about again?
- CrotchCrusader, on 11/23/2008, -1/+32My extensive research proves that smoking marijuana is fun
- oboshoe, on 11/23/2008, -3/+32I've always found it curious that we have the arrogance to declare illegal, something that grows naturally on the planet, and probably predates us.
- drmobutu, on 11/23/2008, -0/+28Actually, it's a flower...
- drouk1556, on 11/23/2008, -1/+25Neat Leopard-only trick:
Shift + Control + Fn + Alt + + ∑ + £ + π will write the letters to the House and Senate for you and remind you that your Hot Pockets are done. - MikeSetera, on 11/23/2008, -4/+28I'm for the legalization of all substances / drugs including marijuana, but I'm getting a little tired of seeing these stories. "Marijuana cures cancer! Marijuana cures AIDS, Marijuana cures MS! Marijuana cures DEATH!!!" We get it, we all know marijuana has more pros than cons. If we legalized and taxed all currently illicit drugs, we'd help the economy and end the war on drugs. Two birds with one stone.
- CaptainCool53, on 11/23/2008, -4/+28Agree with drmobutu. Only regular state sales taxes should apply.
- EagleRufio, on 11/24/2008, -1/+25It would be a damn strong and environmentally friendly rope though.
- Locke23, on 11/23/2008, -4/+26I'm getting tired of this.. JUST LEGALIZE IT ALREADY!
- supermanly, on 11/23/2008, -1/+19Make bacon?
- FriedTurkey, on 11/23/2008, -7/+24I am for legalizing marijuana but some of this medical miracle drug crap seems to be over blown. Why do we have to exaggerate the medical effects? Why can't we just say some people want to smoke it? I know people have their conspiracy theories that they just won't allow marijuana to be used for medical purposes because the government is evil. But it seems to me if all these medical effects were true they could extract the needed chemicals from the marijuana plant and use them for all these medical miracles. Supposedly it cures cancer. I think some pharmaceutical company would be making a ***** of cash if marijuana really did cure cancer. I am sure somebody will respond with the appropriate conspiracy theory.
- insllvn, on 11/23/2008, -2/+18No, marijuana is real. I have SEEN it!
- skews13, on 11/23/2008, -3/+18re legalize it. the thing that gets under my skin more than anything about cannabis is it seems to be readily accepted that it has always been illegal. cannabis became illegal in 1936 at the behest of racial bigots, and petrochemical giants such as dupont, especially dupont, because the hemp industry which was a vibrant industry in this country before then, was a direct threat to their profit margin. in a time in which we are concerned with polution, and bringing back green industry. i say we cost dupont a large portion of their profit margin. i would like to see cannabis relegalized just to make the dupont family lose sleep at night. ***** dupont, the petrochemical industry, and the defense industry as a whole.

- FasterGun, on 11/23/2008, -0/+13Kate from Kate's Playground.
Im almost disappointed in myself because I know that. - Elderon, on 11/23/2008, -3/+16Oh, but that can't be right! The government says that marijuana kills brain cells and will eat holes in your brain and make you fail at life and die alone! The government wouldn't lie, would it? .....hmmm
- NikoKun, on 11/23/2008, -1/+14Somehow I don't think that's a valid excuse for ignorant, hypocritical, harmful, and counterproductive policies, like our Marijuana laws. =P
- bjornski, on 11/23/2008, -0/+12So the Non-Proliferation agreements are part of the Constitution now?
Mandating that certain countries have to meet certain requirements before they get any aid is part of the Constitution now?
Links? - rossiprojects, on 11/23/2008, -8/+20The time has came. Legalize it.
- Garofoli, on 11/23/2008, -0/+12I'ts not Lupus.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -1/+13There are a lot of uses for Marijuana, and as my doctor said - one of the biggest problems due to it being illegal (federally) is that they can't conduct scientific studies to see how the use/amount of use effects the body & mind both good and bad.
If it were more open, we could do analysis - and refine it like the antibiotics I'm taking right now that they found in the jungle circa 1958. Had they not refined it, I'd have kidney and hearing problems now. - doublem9876, on 11/24/2008, -0/+11You clearly misread that statement
- drmobutu, on 11/23/2008, -1/+12Exactly.
To seek permission is to become a slave... - inactive, on 11/23/2008, -3/+13Make political types act rational, for once, and tax the ***** out of it?
- douglasr007, on 11/23/2008, -0/+10it's a tumor!
- WiretapStudios, on 11/23/2008, -1/+11I don't know, but I'm hungry as *****.
- blackdeath88012, on 11/23/2008, -2/+11Alt + F4
- TheSkunkMonkey, on 11/23/2008, -6/+15It already is taxed:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marijuana_Tax_Act
Unfortunately, if you try to pay it they will arrest you for possession. *****. - danthemanhan, on 11/24/2008, -0/+8It's never lupus
- FearFactory, on 11/23/2008, -1/+9Could marijuana what?
- VsAcesoVer, on 11/23/2008, -0/+8Recently the DEA decided that since it does have a trace amount of THC, it's illegal. There was actually a piece of legislature in the CA Senate that would make hemp legal, but it was terminated via veto bullet.
- bjornski, on 11/23/2008, -2/+10Not on it's own, but weed makes Crysis BETTER!
Maybe he should have re-phrased it to "is there anything weed can't make better". - Akairenn, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7Wha?
Uh, most 'illicit' drugs were certainly legal before they were made illegal. - paulmer2003, on 11/23/2008, -2/+9Uh, guys, it says "specific elements". It does not say that smoking a fatty improves your memory. While I certainly agree that it should be decriminalized and regulated.....calm down. Seriously.
- djodorg, on 11/23/2008, -0/+7Bob said it best. "It's a plant mon"
