Also, do you understand what satire is? - Carinix, on 10/30/2009, -0/+15You do realize that his show is satirical.. right? By the way, if you watched either of the videos, you'd realize he at least has a bit of understanding, because in the interview, he actually brings up the point that if you could remove the Boson particle that you could move at the speed of light. So I'd say he at least has a little understanding of what they are trying to do.
- RachelJTM, on 10/29/2009, -1/+14god i love colbert.
- cryonix, on 10/30/2009, -0/+6Interesting short film about time travel with a loosely similar idea

Yes it's bizarre - lewystud, on 10/30/2009, -1/+7what?
- skeptictank, on 10/30/2009, -0/+4Anyone that has listened to Colbert or Stewart talk or do interviews outside their shows would realize that both are very intelligent individuals and I'm sure the real Stephen Colbert knows more about this topic than his satirical TV personality does.
- Frostek, on 10/30/2009, -0/+4String theory is probably still easier to figure out than working out how to stop people being dicks to each other.
- Jaiotu, on 10/30/2009, -0/+3The Higgs-Boson made me do it.
- MSP1, on 10/30/2009, -0/+3If you had a greater mind you would understand it.
- AlienMushroom, on 10/30/2009, -0/+2A leg just mysteriously disappeared behind Stephen.
- lewystud, on 10/30/2009, -0/+2kill spam with FIRE
- Frostek, on 10/30/2009, -0/+2He's making fun of kylescousin, silly. Dugg up.
- thephysicist, on 10/30/2009, -1/+3"i still think its ***** that they still haven't gotten the thing to work" well thats prehaps they are in era of scientific theory, and human errors DO occur.
its not as simple as rebooting a computer when it screws up the magnets alone take 3 months to cool down to almost absolute zero. - THESE THINGS TAKE TIME! - lewystud, on 10/30/2009, -1/+3The LHC is like a terminator

- KayinAngel, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1does it know now why you cry ?
- ai52487963, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1Yeah, or read the stories from which they draw their sources.
- RGB0099CC, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1That ***** kills brain cells. And I'm drunk and smoking a bowl right now, and I still said it. So...don't do that.
- Nanderson423, on 10/30/2009, -1/+2I read the New York Times article about this a few weeks ago.

And that guy can say that it is "bullocks", but many of the aspects of quantum physics would have been considered absurd before they were ever observed. After saying that, it seems extremely unlikely that their hypothesis would be correct, but it is still good to have considered all the options. - cuervoman914, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1at first i was like ???? and then i was like you're missing ????
- digitalArtform, on 10/30/2009, -0/+1Absolutely. Just as soon as the link to the story hits the front page of digg.
- skeptictank, on 10/30/2009, -0/+0The helium bit had me laughing like hell without even using nitrous oxide.
- kylescousin, on 10/30/2009, -2/+1Yes, I know it's satire, I love satire.
This part however, was lame satire. - dhartin, on 10/30/2009, -4/+3its strange to me that some of the greatest minds in the world are researching the endless, pointless mathematical mind-***** that is string theory, but we cant get clean water in Africa, or figure out how to balance a government budget.
- gordonj, on 10/30/2009, -5/+2"Sorry, Videos not currently available in your country"
***** you comedy central!! Get your ***** off the INTERnet!
Article buried for lack of international availability. - DjOverEZ, on 10/30/2009, -8/+4When you hear "knock knock" at your door, you'd be a fool to answer with "who's there?" I mean seriously people, in today's day and age, you need to know who is on the other side of that door before uttering a single peep! And don't get me started on that pathetic chicken crossing the so-called "road!"
You can go ahead and bury me, Digg Community, but you can't live your life as sheep!!! - digitalArtform, on 10/30/2009, -7/+21. Read internet, particularly digg and boingboing. Let them do the heavy lifting.
2. Use ideas found there as basis for TV show bits and stories on Colbert, Olbermann, etc...
3. There is no step 3.
4. PROFIT - jamesteej, on 10/30/2009, -8/+1Jokes aside, i still think its ***** that they still haven't gotten the thing to work. And having read what the scientists are supposing, its not that ridiculous of an explanation for the numerous mishaps with the project.
- Woolamander, on 10/30/2009, -8/+1In before "hardon."
- juliocgrajales, on 10/30/2009, -18/+1You are so ***** lucky with that ***** smirk... yeah i'm stupid and what... whats going to happen next... but i'm stupid, yo stephen what happened if you got any information let me know... i'm stupid
- kylescousin, on 10/29/2009, -26/+5"I'm not a fan of physics" he said.
He should reformulate that to: I don't understand physics.
Large Hadron Collider jokes are so not funny. Only those who don't understand its importance make those kind of jokes.
Yeah go ahead and bury me down, Colbert fans. He has good moments, but this is pretty lame.
