    it's been reported in mainstream news, i'm guessing somebody has checked on this. besides i've known cats that have terrorised dog packs. cats are strange animals that one minute run away from a butterfly and 30 seconds later are shredding something 10 times their size. i'm guessing the bear was been cautious when encountering a crazed animal coming for it.
