- p47plane, on 11/16/2009, -0/+18I spent a good 5 minutes trying to decipher the title before clicking on the link.
- Sucka27, on 11/16/2009, -2/+15This is a classic case of why digg needs work. The fact that this made the front page is pathetic...the article sucks. Plenty of people (with less digg-clout) have made MUCH better submissions and seen in the neighborhood of 3 diggs.
I like digg, but lets lose the trend where networking gets you to the front page. It's really just "do this for me and I'll do this for you" which doesn't do anyone any good. - factsahoy, on 11/16/2009, -0/+5Yep. That's a ***** headline.
- mikeinto, on 11/16/2009, -0/+5Looks like Tim Burton designed it.
- jwquinlan, on 11/16/2009, -0/+4Good insight. I've wondered why such worthless stuff gets so many Diggs and on the "front page," while my wonderful submissions don't get even a postage stamp. ha
- dillonflynn, on 11/16/2009, -3/+7I was getting some "tail" with a fine "creature" in my "car-sized" car, and I "whacked" the "sweet spot."
Aaaaallriiiiight. - obsessedglobe, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3I wonder where the center for balance is in that beast. His body looks like it has precarious balance.
- Junkyarddawg, on 11/16/2009, -0/+2The "reconstructed model" is actually a skeleton. That's how bony they were. This is a reconstruction, and as you can see it makes the story make more sense: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Doedicurus_BW.jp ...
As it turned out, the armor and spiky tail was useless as defense against humans. - jayrok, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1As I recall, the "sweet spot" was the place that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar helped uncle Jesse find when playing basketball.
- stockdam, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1This story is poorly written and doesn't really tell us anything. In the same way a rhino has one centred horn and a bull has two on either side of its head so that when they use their horns they don't exert a twisting moment on their neck - an offset horn would risk breaking the animals neck as it would result in twisting the animal's head.
- EnderSaveUs, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1critical hit
- xixphz, on 11/18/2009, -0/+1Giggity
- gerryk, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1So basically evolution leads to the appearance of design?
- merlin99, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1never thought id see a tennis player compared to a dinosaur
- reshep, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1Oh, that's nice to know.
- inactive, on 11/18/2009, -1/+1Bend over I'll find your "center of balance".
- toleshei, on 11/16/2009, -1/+1Science!
