  • rushiku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Technically, it's baked. But, given everyone is used to calling an egg that's been cooked in its shell boiled, boiled still works.

    If you take the egg out of its shell before boiling, it's called poached (or soup, if you don't do it right), but, you can make a poached egg in a frying pan, with no water. Again, it's the shape and general consistency you're after, not the cooking method.

I would much rather have a simple counter-top device to do it for me. I actually thought of the same concept last year, but the R&D would be too time intensive for a poor college student (or so I thought). +digg .
