- sishgupta, on 02/22/2008, -1/+65Oh ***** I just dropped a Cyber Lens™. EVERYONE STOP MOVING! Each one costs 10 grand, and when if you step on it, it will tell me it was you!
- clarkbp, on 02/22/2008, -1/+59I have always wanted zoom vision. "Can I have the greenish-yellow ones with 10x zoom and bluetooth, please?"
(If they were wireless you could connect to your printer.) - scully32, on 02/22/2008, -2/+59This story was about 6 Million times better than that crappy Bionic Woman show NBC put out.
- Spamcan, on 02/23/2008, -0/+42Oh, the MPAA would love that..
Jurrasic.Park.IV.EYECAM.XVID.AVI - noahhoward, on 02/22/2008, -0/+33Do you have any idea how good of an idea that is??? A camera in a contact lens, that sends images back you your phone, pda or computer would kick so much ass.
- mortigon, on 02/23/2008, -0/+27Aww crap I think I just accidentally sent another eye-shot of my co-workers ass to the printer.
- screamerina, on 02/22/2008, -0/+20Bummer if one of these pops out and rolls into a grate!
- mortigon, on 02/22/2008, -1/+17"There’s a book. There’s a plane. There’s alpha-centauri!"
- callmejordy265, on 02/23/2008, -0/+13well if you can connect to a printer, I'm sure someone else can connect to you. Hello government.
- nyx210, on 02/23/2008, -0/+10Too bad all that blinking would ruin the movies...
- scully32, on 02/23/2008, -1/+11Norman, don't be so literal. The story was titled Bionic Contact Lenses. Obviously, they ARE contact lenses. However, since the both the show and this story had the word Bionic in them, I made a little joke. You might notice that is quite common in the digg comment section. If a bionic sense of humor ever becomes available, you should move to the front of the line.
- arunforce, on 02/23/2008, -0/+10That's why you buy Cyber Ears™.
- MortalynFlux, on 02/23/2008, -0/+6This is just a transitional product. Eventually they would put nanotechnology inside your eye to make it seamless.
- Darkhacker, on 02/23/2008, -0/+6The software could be smart enough to remove frames when the subject blinks. A couple of dropped frames shouldn't ruin the experience.
- honorableSimon, on 02/22/2008, -2/+8Now the real question is how to get the rabbit to teach you to make them for humans...
- rossisdead, on 02/23/2008, -0/+6Why is this being dugg down? Don't people get jokes anymore?
- Darkhacker, on 02/23/2008, -1/+7No offense?
Your spelling of You're sucks. You are a complete fag and a loser with no life. Up your ass with broken glass. Go to hell when you die. Go suck a ***** and eat *****. Take your head out of your ass you stupid ***** ***** queer dike ***** *****-face!
No offense... See? That makes it all better. - InsaneMachine, on 02/23/2008, -0/+6I'm not a dude! A dude works on a ranch!
- miko555, on 02/23/2008, -3/+8Old news is old.... It was on national geographics' news page almost a month ago...
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/01/08 ... - Pinkertinkle, on 02/22/2008, -1/+6It's just some circuits put into a contact to test safety. It doesn't actually do anything. It's gonna be a while before we have viable power sources and monitors so we can all watch TV while doing anything.
- floridiot2, on 02/23/2008, -1/+6"Is that a fly on my nose? Is that a comet?!"
- capiCrimm, on 02/22/2008, -6/+10That works great if you live in a porno factory, but for those of us in America will they block out bad images?
- nottidredd, on 02/23/2008, -0/+4Really a month ago? I wish I was as up to date as you. Oh that's right I have a life.
- grantmoore3d, on 02/23/2008, -0/+4Yeah, but don't judge it right now, as it's a research project. Of course it's only going to do something relatively crappy (when compared with the ideal)... but if you put stock in it now and the prototype goes well, you can safely bet in 10-20 years this thing will be better resolution than we can see.
- springo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3Best. Hidden camera. Ever.
- garfonzo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3Already on Digg. It's like Digg is on a playlist, when it hits the end we start again...
- slipfish, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3dougdiggerton, did you even watch the video? Optic zoom is f'cking mentioned.
- ccxftw, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3Like totally dude.
- tekano, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3zoom vision AND infra red please
- Jarasmen, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3The only big problem being the transmission of power to the lens? Whew, that's reassuring. Uh, no, wait. Probably I'll think again before I let some machinery send a microwave beam to my eye to power a small waffle. FIRST find a way to get power to your eyes, THEN put that power to use! (lasers please)
- elnerdo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+3The cake is a lie.
- beervolcano, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2That bunny's eye looks very irritated.. It's third eye lid is half way out.. I wouldn't want any lenses that involved that type of testing.
- MadEnvoy, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2I bought a pair of those X-Ray specs when I was a youngun, not gonna fall for it again!
- elnerdo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2Eye cancer, on the other hand, is not for noobs.
- krukster86, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2all these civilian applications.. Psssh! you know the military is going to be the first to use it
- schneid4323, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2Oh the possibilities.....
- grimward, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2article buried: ancient.
- redfox2600, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2Brings a whole new meaning to a CAM piracy. Now instead of of a guy coughing in the background it the guy check out the girl next to him.
- ncapone, on 02/23/2008, -0/+2Comment of the year?
- chikoos, on 02/25/2008, -0/+1Its good u found that out. It was already posted in digg. By me.

- dxplus, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1I prefer transparent vision tough.
- elnerdo, on 02/23/2008, -0/+1Best quote I've heard yet:
""The nice thing about nanotechnology is that we can make all these parts really tiny," said project leader Babak Parviz" - Osahar, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1more info here:

I wonder if you could record and play back all the hot chicks you see in a day...you know for research purposes only.
*cough* - mova, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1a little premature. I think that the team has a long way to go...
- firebhaal, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1All these devices and ideas have amazing implications for our justice system and witnesses who wore them at the scene of the crime
- MH94, on 02/23/2008, -0/+1It was on digg a month ago too
