- zaffe, on 05/22/2009, -0/+11What an incredible picture of an invisible cloak

- Want to be friends? - groo68, on 05/22/2009, -0/+5Probably the thing the submitter wanted to make invisible.
- inactive, on 05/22/2009, -0/+4Pictures or it didnt happen.
- MajicXPro, on 05/22/2009, -0/+4I'm having trouble with, "You'd need around 100,000 waveguides to cloak the average mane." I hope that they will accommodate for my small mane.
- CeruleanRed, on 05/22/2009, -0/+3At this rate we'll have fully functional cloaking devices before interstellar starships.
- palehorse864, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2How do you feel about frilly toothpicks?
- freedomischaos, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2"computers and consumer electronics that use light instead of electronic signals to process information; advanced sensors; and more efficient solar collectors."
Processor clock speed is only limited by the speed of light :D
The future is looking pretty freckin' sweet. - stix213, on 05/23/2009, -0/+2So now chicks can do the shaved look without the waxing?
/s - TheInformer, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2The cloak's not any good until it covers up the depression my girlfriend makes in bed.
- roomaustin, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2In TF2?
- GeorgeStone2, on 05/22/2009, -0/+250 micron range Can you see this? 50 micron range
- dborgir, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2Me too! I also love sandwiches!
Do you like them toasted? - drunkirish, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2Next time you try to be punny, it would be better if you weren't so transparent about it.
- tgrokz, on 05/22/2009, -1/+3im sick of reading all of these ***** stories about invisibility cloaks. i call ***** until i see it
...

...
seewhatididthere? - yaosio, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2How do they know it disappeared if they can't see it?
- jikmo, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2I did too! We should form a club!
Do you like sandwiches? - jikmo, on 05/22/2009, -1/+3Uhh... This article seems a bit... wrong...
It sounds like they surrounded the object with lenses. so that if you look at it from 1 side, you'd just see what's on the other side. But... that doesn't sound right, you should only be able to do that in 1 direction (i.e., you could make a room invisible, have a window that just looks through to the other side of the room, but you couldn't cloak a person very well
Sounds like the guy used old tech to make a really ***** version of something in a way that we've known we can do it for almost 200 years and he's getting publicity about it because he think he's the first to think of it. - TheCollective00, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2I don't see what you did there.
- FurtThePirate, on 05/22/2009, -1/+2
- Philbert, on 05/22/2009, -0/+1It's invisible.
- undervalued, on 05/22/2009, -1/+2Dugg for the completely unrelated thumbnail.
- cowfish234, on 05/22/2009, -0/+1so...when can i solid snake it?
- anonymousmedic, on 05/23/2009, -0/+1It's only as boring as you make it. I see someone hasn't played since 2005. If you want to go into theorycrafting, there are several games VASTLY more complex, that you delude yourself into thinking are easier.
- AnalystX, on 05/22/2009, -0/+1It's the same principle used in previous reports, negative refraction, so there's nothing "wrong" about it. What they are saying is their technology is simplified over metamaterials like those reported here ...

... and can now bend a broader spectrum of radiation. Here's one designed a while back for microwave frequencies:

- Esrb99, on 05/22/2009, -0/+1AVADA KEDAVRA!!!
- yaosio, on 05/22/2009, -2/+2I also enjoy boring online video games about mining rocks and spreadsheets in space.
- KILLERB00TSMAN, on 05/22/2009, -3/+3Hairspray was actually a surprisingly good remake.
- Taneth, on 05/22/2009, -0/+0Indeed. I would have hoped it disappeared.
- manosinistra, on 05/22/2009, -0/+0Why is everybody trying to squeeze me into a lo 50 micron range?
What have I done to deserve so much disdain?
Anyways, it works! I'm becoming more and more invisible on this page... - sharee74oy, on 05/22/2009, -5/+3Where is it?
- nOcoNtrol926, on 05/22/2009, -6/+3THESE COMMENTS SUCK
- anonymousmedic, on 05/22/2009, -5/+2The only downside to it is you have to train Frigates to level 5 and Covert Ops Ships to level 5 to use it.
/obscure? - Briones07, on 05/22/2009, -4/+1Then disappears
- manosinistra, on 05/22/2009, -6/+1Any comment within a 50 micron range will NOT show up on this page...
- DjOverEZ, on 05/22/2009, -14/+2I'm gay.
