- dezweber, on 11/08/2008, -0/+46My boss, Pat, is extremely innovative...
- weaselfingers, on 11/09/2008, -0/+27Masculinity: Killing a bear with your bare hands.
Femininity: Cross-stitching a picture of a bear. On a bear. - ncapone, on 11/08/2008, -2/+27So that's how David Bowie's music got so different!
- chiliwilli, on 11/09/2008, -1/+23this could explain why the past 3 bosses I had were gay.
All great managers, mind you. - lemur, on 11/09/2008, -1/+21I think it has more to do with the way that our society stereotypes "feminine" and "masculine" traits, where all healthy human beings have some type of balance of both, not just one or the other. People who are concerned about fitting into a gender role are statistically less likely to be happy in life. It only seems obvious that a progressive leader would simply be a natural, healthy human being that isn't hyper-gendered.
- Amadeus2490, on 11/09/2008, -2/+19Masculinity: Having a penis
Femininity: *Having* a penis. - G0dspeed, on 11/09/2008, -2/+19Buried for not mentioning what "masculine" and "feminine" traits are supposed to be.
- AgahniMalebogia, on 11/08/2008, -3/+18From now on, all scientists will dress in drag.
- MelekTawus, on 11/08/2008, -4/+18Too bad Hillary didn't get the nomination.
- Cupio, on 11/09/2008, -1/+14Xerxes 2012
- expertnot, on 11/09/2008, -1/+13True in the case of google founder Sergey Brin
http://thenextweb.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/s ... - GarrettGrimsley, on 11/09/2008, -3/+13What? No he isn't.
- aethelberga, on 11/09/2008, -0/+7What, 'cause he's thin and neat (not that there's anything wrong with that)?
- whiteguysamurai, on 11/09/2008, -1/+6Kevin rose?
I know, digg me down, but the guy is not exactly sean connery, THAT guy is a pimp! - qbqb, on 11/09/2008, -2/+7OK, this might explain what happened to Microsoft under Steve Ballmer.
- RedStateRetard, on 11/09/2008, -2/+6Janet Reno's key to success.
- xGeneric, on 11/09/2008, -0/+4Well, of course it's important. In fact, for the last 3 years, I've been working heavily at the gym, and have really improved my makeup skills. A toned body, with a thick beard(slightly grayed of course), combined with ruby red lipstick, high heals, and a cute little black dress, is all you need to instill confidence in your workers. For instance, I don't even have to ask for their attention, and I catch them staring at me all day long. Now that, folks, is loyalty.
- rjinso, on 11/09/2008, -1/+5This might apply to Steve Jobs (and I mean that in a good way).
- Kronos6948, on 11/09/2008, -1/+5I have moobs. Does that make me innovative as a leader?
- Paranoidmarvin, on 11/09/2008, -1/+4So being gay is good in that sense?
- akchrs, on 11/09/2008, -1/+41. being both male and female; hermaphroditic.
2. having both masculine and feminine characteristics.
3. having an ambiguous sexual identity.
4. neither clearly masculine nor clearly feminine in appearance:
Are you saying that Obama doesn't fall into any of these definitions? - Metasquares, on 11/09/2008, -0/+3Good leaders do rational, creative things. Gender roles are irrational and following them takes no creativity (in fact, breaking out of them probably does).
- octopod42, on 11/09/2008, -0/+3Psst...the counterpart of "misogynist" is "misandrist", not "feminist".
- familynight, on 11/09/2008, -0/+2@akchrs Uhh... yeah. Which definition are you referring to and how exactly does he fall into it?
- DaftMonk, on 11/09/2008, -2/+4Uh... maybe it's just me, but isn't that rather obvious? Feminists and misogynists are equally foolish, so someone in the middle, sharing the best of both genders (i.e. masculine vigor tempered with feminine compassion) will be a well-rounded individual.
I can has not-so-common sense? - ZigVicious, on 11/09/2008, -1/+3I think it's safe to say that akchrs is fairly ill informed as to what the word androgynous means. Maybe we'll see some more misinformed comments out of him.
- harmonicsgalore, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1In India, we have a 'Hizra' (transexual) MP. Don't know how he/she goes about in administration.
- judicar, on 11/09/2008, -0/+1This coming from the most androgynous west of Thailand.
- kromem, on 11/09/2008, -1/+2Pssh....Norway.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -0/+1akchrs = nohumorvirusspam.exe
failure....................................... - kernel16, on 11/09/2008, -1/+2Am I the only who feels that the whole article not only fails to prove the premise, but seems more preoccupied to try and prove that women are necessary in the workforce. However, it also fails at proving that point because the four arguments for women are so weak.
- kernel16, on 11/09/2008, -0/+1Only good ***** to come out of this, thx for link forgot about the song.
- MikeFallopian, on 11/09/2008, -0/+1Griffith, anyone?
- JDoms, on 11/09/2008, -1/+2of course this would come from the BI(sexual) Norwegian Scool of Management

- banefulintruder, on 11/09/2008, -4/+2"where women now hold four out of ten directorships (40 per cent)."
Really?? NO *****! A woman must have written this. - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -6/+3how do you make a bear cross?
crucify him. - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -3/+0Norway = Extreme Failure
- akchrs, on 11/09/2008, -6/+2Being androgynous is not meant as an insult. Most people would agree that Obama is a very feminine person.
- akchrs, on 11/09/2008, -9/+4I think it's safe to say the Obama is fairly androgynous. Maybe we'll see some innovation out of him.
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -10/+3Great, the last thing I want to do is get in 'touch' with my feminine side.
