- Truedirt, on 11/16/2009, -0/+20Anything to help better understand this terrible disease, is welcome news.
- Hiltonizer, on 11/17/2009, -0/+7It's truly awful.
I watched as my grandfather went from always forgetting where his keys were...
to mistaking and forgetting family members names...
to asking my grandmother when they were going home during dinner... at their house of 40 years.
to now being immobile and the shell of a great man, who is still there if you look into his eyes, but trapped in his own body... barely able to even talk.
He wasn't 80 or 90 when it hit hard, he was still in his 60's. And it's the brutalist nightmare come true to every family who goes through this. - ftc08, on 11/17/2009, -0/+3Ha! Buried.

please clarify. - leesw, on 11/17/2009, -0/+2I've read a lot about how Omega 3 Fish Oil is helpful for prevention of Alzheimer's and even reversing.
- hereticoftruth, on 11/17/2009, -0/+2There is a simple home test for Alzheimer's that is quite accurate. Shake your head. If it rattles, you are showing some signs of Alzheimer's.
- Hiltonizer, on 11/17/2009, -0/+2Wouldn't surprise me, everything fish or smelled like fish my grandfather hated. He has Alzheimer's that started early in life.
Antacids have also been linked too, and he always had Mylanta on standby. - Remingtonh, on 11/17/2009, -1/+2sorry wrong story :)
- vaderson, on 11/18/2009, -0/+0As diseases go, losing your marbles has to rank up there with the worst.
- Remingtonh, on 11/17/2009, -6/+1Ha! Dugg.
