bbc.co.uk — An alternative and not generally accepted theory that man came from apes that became amphibious. It sounds ridiculous but has some points that can't generally be ignored.

No other land-based mammal walks on two feet, and in fact biologists will tell you that mans spinal chord is a serious weakness in humans, one not easily explained away when talking about walking upright.
Also, we actually do have an amazing lung capacity, as evidenced by how freedivers develop their lung capacity.

- BigManOnCampus, on 07/27/2008, -0/+3Interesting... I can see why this wouldn't be generally accepted, there's no fossil evidence of aquatic primates. On the other hand, fossil evidence of aquatic primates wouldn't be something we would ever look for, nor would we easily find it.
