- gilbes, on 11/09/2009, -1/+14"However, some are concerned that the LHC might actually end the world, by creating microscopic black holes or strangelets"
However, some are concerned that if they push too hard when taking a ***** that a unicorn will fly out of their butt, bite off their penis and puke rainbows in their hair. Doesn't mean there concerns are valid. - llamagoelz, on 11/09/2009, -0/+11lol the writing ties this together horribly but the subject is awesome and the duck pic is hilarious
- Tyrghast, on 11/09/2009, -0/+9According to creationists, if the LHC works as intended cities will burn, drug addict homosexuals will convert kids to satanism, and nazi zombies with lasers riding on elephants will kill us all.
- rjc5056, on 11/09/2009, -0/+8How many times in one week can the same story front-page on digg? we have a new contender for the record here!
- Laminarcissus, on 11/09/2009, -0/+8Or maybe you're just caught in a quantum time loop...
- alborosie808, on 11/09/2009, -1/+8wait so.. a bird eating bread stopped the collider from working? maybe im too high to understand this but for some reason i dont see how this happened.
- Laminarcissus, on 11/09/2009, -0/+7Or maybe you're just caught in a quantum time loop...
- rjc5056, on 11/09/2009, -1/+7How many times in one week can the same story front-page on digg? we have a new contender for the record here!
- liljay2k, on 11/09/2009, -0/+5Oh, I get it, the bird is from the future. Damn you bird from the future, damn you!
- publiclurker, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3Basically a bird dropped a piece of bread on some of the outside electronics. This shorted things out and causes them to have to power down the collider.
- brucealmighty, on 11/09/2009, -0/+3Normally I think the extended warranties are just a rip-off....but in this case they probably shoulda bought one....or at least put it on someone's AX to get the extended coverage.
- PlasticHotDog, on 11/09/2009, -1/+3Oh please, we could only HOPE that turning on the LHC would cause the world to end. Fat chance, IMO!
- diblasio, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2You're so edgy! <3
- thebreach, on 11/09/2009, -1/+3Do we really need to keep propagating the idiotic armchair physics theories of how LHC will end the world.
There were already much better articles submitted to Digg on this story, buried. - palehorse864, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BQBa45IOiY#t=1m27s
- brid57, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2Me TOO!
I was staring at it for at least 10 minutes!!!!
/also high - pagno, on 11/09/2009, -0/+2I cant wait for this thing to finally get online. We can propel our species (officially) into the 21st century, or destroy the world. Either way, I win.
- Rhydeble, on 11/09/2009, -0/+1Actually that last part sounds pretty cool, how about we turn it only half on, and we only get that?
- yacks, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1Wow.. I feel I am living the movie Groundhog's Day... This is the third day in a row I saw this sitting on the front page.. Maybe the LHC does work and got us stuck in an endless loop.
- larner205, on 11/09/2009, -0/+0Their concerns arn't valid because there's more then 1 person who share the common concern.
- graemee, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1Third time on the front page, buried
- brainflakes, on 11/09/2009, -1/+1The LHC seems to have created a twist in the fabric of space where time becomes a loop, from which there is no escape. When we reach that point, whatever got to the front page will get there again.
- lostngone, on 11/09/2009, -2/+1Well I guess we won't have to worry about global warming anymore if this thing creates a self sustaining black hole. They tell us it is safe and it can't/won't happen. However they have stated they don't know what the outcome of some of the tests are going to be once they get this thing up to full power and start running experiments. Hmmm.....
- starlon2, on 11/09/2009, -4/+1Oh I get it. You don't believe in black holes and strangelets!
- Laminarcissus, on 11/09/2009, -5/+1You tried to pack in too many jokes, please edit down and resubmit. Your grade will be a C squared until then.
