- Calculon, on 10/17/2009, -0/+16Yeah, magnetic radiation, which does nothing to your body. X-ray and CAT scans have radiation that is harmful.
- TheKitchenSinkX, on 10/17/2009, -0/+11That was his point, idiot.
- Eysteinn, on 10/17/2009, -1/+9you can get diggs by doing this? i had a MRI a year ago, as a part of a research study to map the brain use when i was moving in a virtual 3d world. should have put up pics of my brain.
i got paid to have an MRI and play computergames for a couple of hours... all in the name of science - atgmac, on 10/17/2009, -1/+8Press the play button.
- TheKitchenSinkX, on 10/17/2009, -1/+7Oh hey coincidence!
Here's my brain, as shown by MRI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pJ2wcMY_TU
Exhilarating, I know. - MacBookForMe, on 10/17/2009, -3/+8Beautifully useful (if we only did have this tool at Pathology in school?)
- Idiggapony, on 10/17/2009, -0/+4If you really want to get a brain MRI, you could either (A) go to your doctor and say your'e having various scary neurologic symptoms, or (B) see if your local university psychology department or medical school is running any research studies that involve brain MRI, and sign up.
- Idiggapony, on 10/18/2009, -0/+4Okay, but I think you're going to be disappointed.

I really wish I had something like this while taking neuroscience... if there's a way we can "tag" images, I think there are a lot of medical students out there who wouldn't mind telling you what you're looking at in different cross sections. AWESOME!!!!
- fracai, on 10/17/2009, -0/+3Allow me to introduce you to Osirix.

If only you could get an MRI at your corner drugstore. - blinker265, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2mirror please.
- Idiggapony, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2You can't really see the pituitary gland in the big images on the left, which are axial T2-weighted images. If you want to see it, go to the head-on photo of his face in the lower right, and drag the green line right about to the middle of his nose. Then look at the sagittal T1-weighted MRI image that's above and to the left of that. Note the little bright spot in the back of the gland.
The axial T2-weighted images do, however, provide a great view of the optic chiasm. - AutoBan, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2I'm gonna put a crayon in there, just like Homer's brain
- VenDrake, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2I would share what's inside my head, but I don't want my account banned -- and those FBI agents are getting annoying.
- MizuhoChan, on 10/17/2009, -0/+2Wish I could get an MRI.
- Doonce, on 10/18/2009, -0/+2Here's mine: http://imgur.com/tqzD6.png
- skidork, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1It's actually a schwannoma, dumbass.
- AmericanGunner, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1Go back to break.com
- HesComing, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1Here is an online atlas of the human brain:
https://www.msu.edu/~brains/brains/human/index.htm ...
Here is one slice that is labeled. It takes a few clicks to get here from the homepage:
https://www.msu.edu/~brains/brains/human/coronal/1 ...
Just click through the whole brain, google the names to find out what they do, and boom! Now you're a neurologist. - skidork, on 10/17/2009, -0/+1This is actually pretty cool. When the red line is right above his ear, you can see the pituitary, right below the optic chiasm, i believe.
- Exekutor, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1I'm no expert, but dude you've got something in the back of your brain. Is that normal?
- uvscwolverine, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1I had an MRI done of my head a few years ago. I have all the films in a box in my spare bedroom. It's a weird sort of thing to look at and realize that's what's inside my head.
- Doonce, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1No it's not normal. It is an abscess. I had it removed last year though.
- mezmama, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1Awesome!! Nice small ventricles!
- wassim2k, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1You're a monkey?
- wassim2k, on 10/18/2009, -0/+1I'm holding it from the bottom left with my thumb extended. Everything looks fine to me.
- Kells4, on 10/27/2009, -0/+0Interesting Stuff!!
- Gregb11385, on 10/18/2009, -1/+1Now all we need is a full female body scan.
- LomasLou, on 10/18/2009, -1/+0If they did an MRI of Bush's head I'm sure they'd find nothing significant.
- mjoe, on 10/17/2009, -5/+1i'd rather see the 4D data
- L0NER, on 10/17/2009, -7/+1You cold look inside my head, but you wouldn't like what you see.
- borez, on 10/17/2009, -9/+2Woah mate, hold on there, as a practising Oncologist you have what looks to be an aggressive Glioblastoma multiforme forming within your right temporal lobe. You seriously need a second opinion there. No doubt.
/Ha ha.... only kidding, got ya. I actually know ***** all about medicine. ROFL.
...or do I. - skidork, on 10/17/2009, -9/+1There's no such thing as magnetic radiation, douche.
- swagv, on 10/17/2009, -13/+3TMI. I don't want to see your mom's pap smear either.
- skidork, on 10/17/2009, -15/+2You got paid to be exposed to radiation. Congrats.
