- megamod, on 08/02/2009, -4/+78Is it normal for the pilot to almost dig into the ground with the tip of the wing?
no...I don't think so. - Hartley1942, on 08/02/2009, -2/+66Pssht. I do this in BF1942 all the time.
- ChileanGoD, on 08/02/2009, -1/+59This needs a video.

- inactive, on 08/02/2009, -0/+24FTP: "I was told by a IAF Tornado pilot that it was done in Cameri by a pilot picking up a plane after they had made maintenance on the airplane ( test/acceptance ) -
It seem that the maintenance team asked the pilot a low pass, and the pilot gave them a little something more.. just after take off-
The event was photographed and even taped (there is a video of this flight around) by the maintenance team.
The tape later ended on a General desk… Which brought the “gutty” pilot 30days of punishment, and another 30 days without flying..
That’s what i know about it. I’ll try to upload the video somewhere"

- Antialias, on 08/02/2009, -1/+9While really impressive I think it's higher than the picture makes it look. For one thing the wingspan is probably 16-20 feet, he's above the cement runway, not the dirt in the background as some of the comments seem to think. Seems like he's at least 4 feet off the ground if not a bit more.
- osteor10, on 08/02/2009, -1/+9^ i was referring to this penny arcade btw.

- enantiodromia, on 08/02/2009, -5/+12You really can't tell how low he is from this picture.

- Devlar, on 08/02/2009, -0/+6sure... ignoring the perspective problem, and treating the photo as his wingtip being 4ft off the groud -- that's damn gutsy. Now granted, another poster says this happened on takeoff, which might make it a bit simpler... but damn. not as impressive? really? the marginal difference in altitude between a wingtip 4ft and a few inches is what? half a thumb twitch on the stick? sheesh... nothing impresses digg anymore...
- DorXtar, on 08/02/2009, -0/+6Panvia Tornados are low-level bombers. They're supposed to wear mud.
- enantiodromia, on 08/02/2009, -0/+6well you can't... geez
- wild, on 08/02/2009, -0/+6I'm glad our fighter pilots have the balls to do these things, and our Generals the sense to punish them for risking not just their lives but a multi-million dollar aircraft.
- inactive, on 08/02/2009, -1/+7Dugg for Über
- jeffness, on 08/02/2009, -0/+6well, i gave you a thumbs up pal. you're right. ive taken tons of photographs that appear to show something that really isn't. the plane is really low, no doubt, but it's probably higher than it looks in the photograph due to problems of scale and distance in a 2d photograph.
- magus_melchior, on 08/02/2009, -0/+6Permission to buzz the tower?

- inactive, on 08/02/2009, -0/+5Megan Fox. WE could have her bending over the wing or something.
- warriorscot, on 08/02/2009, -0/+5It's still the best High speed low level bomber available so quite a few countries still use the Tornado especially in its bomber role. Although its been largely replaced as an interceptor its still good in the role.
- chill613, on 08/02/2009, -1/+5Buzzed more than just the tower
- Joshislong, on 08/02/2009, -1/+5I'm the guy camping in the bushes at the airfield picking off the plane campers.

- DorXtar, on 08/02/2009, -3/+7Is it normal for someone to ask a question and answer their own question with more ignorance?
No, I don't think so. - Chiproller, on 08/02/2009, -2/+6That pilot, is an idiot.
