And it'd probably be me... - badjoke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+29Not hacks.
- ajb2015, on 10/11/2007, -0/+24seriously, stfu about "hacking everything" already.
- D3koy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23There is a fine line between "hacking" and "doing something different"
Come to think of it, it's not a fine line...they are really different - mattyxo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23What about relax/socialize every once in a while?
And polyphasic sleep is ridiculous. If anyone can actually nap for 40 minutes, 5 times a day (with success) please let me know. - Cwo655321, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17Kramer tried this and ended up in a river.
- AltEfFour, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Am I the only one who is sick of hearing everything referred to as a "hack"?

I don't have that in my start up menu? What is this "girlfriend" program you speak of? Is that under the Control Panel somewhere? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+61.) Stop reading blog posts / magazine articles on (insert magic number here) ways to increase your productivity, organize your time, stop procrastinating, manage your finances, etc...

This is probably the most underrated tip of them all. - eonblue, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Using hibernate mode on windows DOES NOT save time. It has always been more problems then its worth.
- SlamShut, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7I swear to God-- the day they attach a Star Trek transporter to the internet, I'm going to beam around and shove a chainsaw up the ass of every single person who uses the word "hack" like this.
You people have been warned. - Vael, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3at that point would it really matter if it is running?
- vikramkr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I hate it when the word "hacks" is used in this manner.

Then why is it number 5? - bairy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=polyphasic+success
I think the idea of just 2 or 3 hours sleep a day is extreme and I doubt that many people could do it. But certainly dropping down to 4 - 6 seems feasible with the right discipline. From what I read though you need to be really tight on the scheduling.
As for the rest of the tips. Some are pretty good. I read a few months ago that a guy limited his computer usage to just 5 (I think) hours a day and that made him more productive because he planned his computer time and got on with things instead of being distracted by other websites. - neko6, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3@ripstuntz - it's not anal, that's the only way a grown up person who does their own shopping can refrain from shopping every other day (which is what I do cuz I never plan ahead and always get home and find out there's nothing 2 ear :( )
- gg77, on 10/11/2007, -0/+251. stop writing douchebag blogs about productivity.
- Homunculiheaded, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"But certainly dropping down to 4 - 6 seems feasible with the right discipline"
I think I have the opposite problem, where it takes me considerable effort to get more than 4-6 hours of sleep! - selrahc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You forgot the "Don't".
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Turn off computer. unless you use a computer to be productive...

I don't see that helping me though. I would just spend the 5 hours on digg and then have no way to get my work done. Wash, rinse, repeat. - sliptech, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2That sounds hopeful...
- TheMidnight, on 10/11/2007, -0/+26) Stop trying to think of clever follow-ups to someone else's funny digg post.
Wait a minute... - fibreoptix, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3This is sad... we have become an organized tech savvy heard of cattle. No thanks. You break your back for a company and right when the profit margin drops from 23 mill to 20.6 mill they cut you loose right before Christmas. ***** corporations. I'll do my job I'll get your useless site up - pay me and ***** off I'm not working weekends.
I can see it now when I'm on my death bed (hopefully at an old age) thinking back on my life and saying "Wow those late nights and Sunny Saturday afternoons at the office were special....I wish.....I...." - anagoge, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"Your search for "slaves" on eBay returned 2217 matches."
"Get it new. Buy it now: 477 slave items on eBay Express!" - funkytommyman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Or how about:
19. Stop checking Digg every 10 minutes - Adelhas, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Seriously, stop caring about productivity.
1. Get a job where you are paid by the hour
2. ???
3. Profit! - CountryBoyRI, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dugg down for complete and utter irrelevance to the topic at hand.
- gypsi, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3hack this, hack that, yadda yadda yadda. hack off already

http://hyipnews.freehostia.com/hyip - CountryBoyRI, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Have you TRIED this? It does work, you know.
Especially if you live in an area where you have drive a haul to the store and gas prices are outrageous. Further, who he hell wants to deal with a store full of rude people who are oblivious to everything going on around them, shoving their carts in front of you, not controlling their kids, blocking the aisles, and all that crap?
I've been ordering groceries on PeaPod for two years now. I get a rough estimate of what meals I want to have over the next week or two and buy the stuff to make it. I don't have to deal with the nightmare stores, the delivery charge is *quite* nominal, and it frees me up to do lots of other stuff I'd much rather be doing. I know plenty of other folks who do the same thing and feel the same way.
You might want to actually *try* something before you dismiss it out of hand. - fatpads, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Alternate between ctrl+r and F5 to save wear and tear!
(first time typing this I actually hit F5 to write it - stupid) -
