- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -4/+43" The headless, 6-foot high pyramid originally reached about 46 feet, with sides 72 feet long, Hawass said. "
Kind of small, I thought they had found a giant sized pyramid in the sand, that would have been a mind *****.
Still cool though. - diggum85, on 11/11/2008, -1/+39I get it!
- TubbyCat, on 11/12/2008, -0/+38If you go to their website you can add a message that will be enclosed in it.
Thanks, I just rickrolled AD 52,011. - Tob1as, on 11/12/2008, -0/+26wow,interesting. i've never heard of this project. thanks.

- brentinkc, on 11/12/2008, -0/+13Astro-
That is a stupid comment. For that to be true, you would have to make the assumption that ALL materials break down in under 50,000 years, and therefor nothing in the known universe is over 50,000 years old. Seeing has how we have rocks on earth well over ten times that age, it seems that such an assumption would be fallacious.
Think. - velocity92c, on 11/11/2008, -3/+15And inside the pyramids, the remains of Madonna's mother and father were found, putting Madonna at an estimated 4,260 years old.

What's the problem? - IIIKrazyKiDDIII, on 11/12/2008, -2/+12Cool project, although a waste of money, because humans would destroy themselves in 100yrs
- dandonia, on 11/12/2008, -0/+10Did they find a Stargate yet?
You see what I did there? I saw that 50 people had made this joke already, then I copied it so they could read it again. - anixmander, on 11/11/2008, -0/+9The average Playmates chest? How long does silicone last anyways?
- bdfariello, on 11/12/2008, -0/+9Kix, I've been having that Digg bug lately. Mine just jumped from 1 to 118, and I'm posting 33 minutes after you. Digg bugs out sometimes. Can't say I'm terribly surprised it's not perfect, but what're you gonna do.
- dandonia, on 11/12/2008, -2/+11What you don't relise is that the show was based on a true story. The parody episode was designed to make us laugh at the possibility of this been true but mark my words people, its true. Havn't you noticed the increased amount of UFO sighting since the stargate movie first aired? Coinsedence I think not.
- milkshaker, on 11/12/2008, -2/+9AVP = bad movie
- diggum85, on 11/11/2008, -4/+11It's not a pyramid, it's a time capsule and you just ruined it for everyone by digging it up too soon. Inconsiderate archaeologists...
- dandonia, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7Is it sad to miss the Goa'uld?
Not that I do or anything, no no, quite the opposite, those damn Goa'uld, huh, give me women, sports and cars anyday. Now excuse me while I go build a house and kill a lion with my bare hands. - oxthemoron, on 11/12/2008, -1/+7 I clicked it at 1 and it went to 139...
- Dohko_Xar, on 11/12/2008, -0/+6Digg is broken.
- novenator, on 11/12/2008, -2/+8http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid
The pyramid is the classic contruction shape for long term stability and durability. It is no wonder that ancient cultures around the globe built them. Find good articles at:

http://www.nationalgeographic.com/pyramids/pyramid ... - novenator, on 11/12/2008, -0/+6You are completely correct. Everything today is built with expedient and weak materials to reduce short term cost. Of course, this is ridiculous financially, because anything that lasts longer will not require as expensive repairs, or if they structures fail, destruction and rebuilding.
If some great disaster would befall our civilization, very little if anything would last over a thousand years. - MyNameIsGusto, on 11/12/2008, -1/+7Isn't this how they found the pyramid in Duck Tales The Movie?
- xtinamo, on 11/12/2008, -0/+6hell yeah we do.
- anixmander, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Hancock has been refuted and proved wrong more times than I can conveniently count. He has proven to have as much credibilty as Von Danikien.
You do realize that the Egyptians left written, well drawn anyways, records behind that give a fairly good dating of WHEN Cheops(Khufu) pyramid was constructed? - stillasleep00, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5...which is currently undergoing repairs.
- DismantleRepair, on 11/12/2008, -2/+7But will it run Osiris?
- dougbot, on 07/14/2009, -0/+5i asked them to send me an email if time travel was possible. nothing yet.
- kinseyincanada, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5he was at 1 when i saw it then i dugg him up and hes at 233
- Infinitex2, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5heheh.....I'm Lost
- Dumbledorito, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5I believe the tour guide I followed in Nevada said the Hoover Dam was projected to last for 2,000 years. Of course, assuming it doesn't have a catastrophic failure after that, the structure could last much longer.
- blitzeh, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4fries from mcdonalds?
- ptkfgs, on 11/12/2008, -3/+7i see what you did there.
- Pyroteq, on 11/12/2008, -4/+8Hey cool, lets turn an article about archaeology into a thread bashing Christians.
