- Lust4Me, on 02/07/2008, -0/+20I still get blown away by that head-tracking video on the Wii:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw - skywake, on 02/07/2008, -1/+15how many years of Digg and people still wonder why sites go down?
- jameshighmore, on 02/07/2008, -1/+12Maybe next they could try breaking the technological barrier of getting decent server.
- Myonosken, on 02/07/2008, -2/+12Oh dear lord. Learn how digg works PLEASE.
- skywake, on 02/07/2008, -0/+8I wonder what the advantages of this tech over auto-stereoscopic displays. Whatever the case, its a very bright future for 3D imaging.
- DarkprinceArmon, on 02/07/2008, -4/+12Make it update at 24fps and we can have holo movies and games :P
- Spuy767, on 02/07/2008, -2/+9^gay
- ethanpack, on 02/07/2008, -0/+5Powered By Virtual Boy
- NoCt1, on 02/07/2008, -3/+8Thats how we roll.
- Spuy767, on 02/07/2008, -1/+5It's a ***** university, it shouldn't go down. GA Tech's network never crashed, and I know we taxed the ***** out of it.
- inactive, on 02/07/2008, -0/+4I wonder what a holo game will be like? i mean, you can't exactly play FPS in holograms, can you?
- ApokalypseNow, on 02/07/2008, -0/+4Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi... you're my only hope *GZERT!*
- ahvi, on 02/07/2008, -0/+4Direct link to the video:

- brianpeiris, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3not a mirror, but the news is covered by physorg.com as well: http://physorg.com/news121524295.html
It also includes a video. - cigawoot, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KE1SfJKXVc
Youtube link with the video. - blankoboy, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2I look forward to seeing our cities strewn with airvertising at every possible turn.
/ahem.. - TheZorch, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Holographic Mass Storage, anybody? Imagine having a small device on your desk the size of a standard USB hard drive which holds multiple Terrabytes of of data and has no moving parts and costs less than Flash memory. Also likely has a much longer lifespan than Flash too.
Or better yet, a USB Thumb Drive that holds several Terrabytes you hand around your neck. - Zippo, on 02/07/2008, -2/+4Obligitory "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope" comment.
- brianpeiris, on 02/07/2008, -1/+3As far as I know auto-stereoscopic displays use head tracking to display 3D, they would not work for more that one person, and are more complex to implement.
- LogicBomB, on 02/07/2008, -1/+3I'd have to say it's spectacular as well. I like how he's modest as well - he doesn't ask for a job at the end, he says he wants to see new games. Now that's someone who's just pasionate about games and tech, not someone who only cares about money.
- iXneonXi, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Please state the nature of the medical emergency.
- sindex, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2That is ***** awesome.
- Jaydude765, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2I'm a doctor, not a door stop!
- cnorris1, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1better porn now
- Anthion, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Zebra Imaging in Austin, TX have all the answers already. This photorefractive material from Nitto Denko will never have the speed required for a useful update-able display system.
- bean48009, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1So when are they coming out with an OS? I am sure Apple will call it iAM...
- BearinG, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1maybe on your LCD..
- notman, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2You were too late... someone already beat you to it
- Royal0rleans, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Smallest pictures ever
- s0ss, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1how will this affect my porn?
- themastersb, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Nintendo has to make a video game console with this technology. It would sell millions.
- NanoStuff, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1More complex to implement? Shutter glasses have been around for many years, they're far from complex. Direct 3D displays on LCD are also available, as are head mounted displays. Not only are they far less complex to implement, they are far more effective.
- OneLess, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1I'm getting so tired of these people...If a comment is stupid enough, can we flag it as offensive?
- TheSnuffster, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Why can't we just have a stupidity button implemented?
- sheitmar, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Maybe I'm not really understanding the technology - the youtube video looks pretty cool, but afterwards I stumbled on this video, albeit old - a Holographic TV that even had a camera that was showing people's faces in holographic form...how is this UofArizona thing any better?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw5nkWhP9RI&feature ... - NanoStuff, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1None, people just like the word 'holographic'.
- linksus, on 02/07/2008, -6/+60 Comments and its down?
- munkeyhatecleen, on 02/07/2008, -0/+0"Comuter, freeze program!"
- instigator24, on 02/07/2008, -5/+1When will this be available for home use? I want Ladanian Tomlinson running through my living room.
- Spuy767, on 02/07/2008, -10/+1Nah nah, dude, you need at least 120FPS for smooth motion.
- mybbq, on 02/07/2008, -15/+31 comment and its on front page?
