- PiKo85, on 02/07/2008, -0/+9Margaret looks like Conan O'Brien.
- Vodka2389, on 02/07/2008, -0/+7What about that guy from Cambridge who says he can make humans live something like 200 years? That guy rulez.
- Nebetsu, on 02/07/2008, -0/+7I didn't even know that robot was a robot on first glance. I just thought "whoa that guy looks funny"
- DrDragun, on 02/07/2008, -2/+6I just hope weed is legal and sexbots are invented by the time I'm an old man. Can't afford hookers when I'm on prescription meds.
- LokitheComplex, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3You mean Aubrey de Grey? I think of him and I can't help thinking of Rip Van Winkle.
- bjs3171, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2which is why you'll save money on buying a robot?
- supernaut, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2i... feel so small...
- inactive, on 02/08/2008, -0/+2Pardis Sabeti is kind of a cutie
- innocentsinner, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Yeah, forget flying cars, they better have sexbots or holodeck porn before I'm too old.
- danio, on 02/07/2008, -1/+3fa kin su pah!
- SilentSpyder, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Hey it's a step up from that flashlight thing that...um..my friend uses...so I hear.
- loquax, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2It's like a vegan with irritable vowels.
- Mr.Gone, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Ha, nice :D
- kmdouglass, on 09/15/2009, -0/+2I'm disappointed that the most popular physicists today are string theorists. Nobody outside academia seems to care about "working class" physicists such as those working in optics, low temperature physics, or mathematical modeling of populations, for example.
- songfire, on 02/07/2008, -2/+4Engineers are not scientists; what they do is important, but they are not scientists. String theorists are DEFINITELY not scientists. The blog does claim that Arkani-Hamed's theories will be testable by LHC, but knowing what I do about string theory, I would venture that it won't be a direct test. The fact that he is called an APPLIED string theorist is somewhat laughable. But if his ideas are truly testable, my hat is off to him.
I'm familiar with Jarvis' work, and though it is really wonderful stuff; I'm not sure if it's really going to change our future, at least not in the near future. If you ever get a chance to hear him speak, I highly recommend it. He's entertaining, knowledgeable, yet very...real--he doesn't BS. - skaldicpoet9, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1We must stop these people from joining together or we just might need the Justice League to take them down.
- xxTazxx, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2Oh God. Not the Naruto, I love Naruto. But the English Dub?
Kill yourselves, please. - tehbored, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Why isn't Aubrey de Grey there?
- bjs3171, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2they, uh...have it... They're called diebold voting machines. Where have you been?
- Chiefster, on 02/07/2008, -2/+3What ever happened to being able to vote at an ATM machine - they promised us that ***** a long time ago

- ehelbush, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1sexbot recalls scare me
- Moshcrates, on 02/07/2008, -2/+3Ishiguro is amazing...and its also amazing that the first place your imagination ran to was sexbots...although not surprising. Haha
Thrun's research is very interesting also. I would love to see that car.
“simply because we don’t know how to insure a car where no one is at the wheel.” - kd1s, on 02/10/2008, -0/+1The case of Emily Oster is interesting. One aspect of science I see changing the way we view the world is databases that contain so many elements awaiting analysis to see the root of things. It's amazing stuff.
- Pinkertinkle, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1More like list of 10 random people who are obscure and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
- JQP123, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1Disneyworld has had motorized, remote controlled mannequins like this for decades.

- CriX, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1The Terrestrial Planet Finder has been put on indefinite hold. It will not be deployed in 2015 unfortunately. There's only finite money and we're gonna have two new launchers, a new spaceship, and moon landings instead.
- reaperhatch, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1#3 emiry?
at full force! - NanoStuff, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1Why aren't a lot of people that should be there not there?
- kipmartin, on 02/07/2008, -2/+3i will need sexbots soon. women my age look like hell, hate men, and need too much conversation. if you mess areound with younger women, your not considered lucky--youre viewed as a pervert. sexbots wont require jewelry and flowers, dinner dates, and time wasted at chick flicks like 'Sense and Sensibilities.' lets get some federal funding going for this stuff!!
- shyner, on 02/08/2008, -1/+2Science... ***** yeah!
- joshjoneswas, on 02/08/2008, -1/+1That chick at #2 needs to cut her hair.

- eoinoc333, on 02/07/2008, -2/+1"About to change your future"... there's something strange about that concept. I can't catch it.
- ImpulseControl, on 02/07/2008, -3/+2You'd think he'd give his robot self better hair....
- MysticSavage, on 02/07/2008, -2/+1The first thought that went into my mind when looking at the picture was "Wii'd like to play."
