'all i want for xmas is a psp' - Sony creates fake blog as viral marketing

forums.somethingawful.com — Exactly what it sounds like. I found a YouTube video and blog featuring some guy rapping about how he wants a PSP. A few minutes of goons looking into it showed that the domain is owned by a marketing firm, and that this is Sony's attempt at making their own version of LonelyGirl. How dumb do they think we are?

  • autoacat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Instead of trying to convince the internet that the PSP is good through mis-mangled marketing internet speak and unfunny "underground" videos, why don't they try to make something that the internet community could be proud of? There is really little in this ad campaign that makes me want a PSP and all it really does is mention its big screen. Sony really seems to be getting desperate for attention, even if its negative.
