Classic Yahtzee- CyberSkull, on 10/26/2007, -1/+20I'm not a cowboy (ugh) or Canadian, so I guess I fall into the third category.

- stupidbrowner, on 10/25/2007, -1/+3Why are you reposting??? The Escapist can definitely handle Digg.
- ModemGhost, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2I can see bypassing a site if the traffic kills it, or if it's a blogspam post of some existing video, but The Escapist is the site that publishes Zero Punctuation, so we SHOULD be going to their site for his stuff.
- Gir53457, on 10/26/2007, -2/+1I know a lot of Canadian Race Car drivers who listen to country music sung by Canadians. And No, I'm a Californian who some times works on pit crews for my brother, his father, my step father, my mother's boyfriend or his brother. I'm like a a groupie that tours with AC/DC, but with a pneumatic drill.

- BestJaxx, on 10/26/2007, -2/+4Classic Digg style.

- RedZone09, on 10/29/2007, -3/+99screw ign. this is the guy i go to get reviews.
- Eisum, on 10/26/2007, -1/+6Totally agree, says what you need to know about a game.
- Sornos, on 10/25/2007, -9/+7Utterly and totally biased, but still awesome.
- Paroparo, on 10/25/2007, -2/+13Biased towards what exactly? Games that he likes? That's how it's supposed to work.
- omgosh, on 10/25/2007, -2/+2It's because he didn't suck all the ass juice out of Halo 3. That makes him biased. =D
- Paroparo, on 10/25/2007, -2/+13Biased towards what exactly? Games that he likes? That's how it's supposed to work.
- driftwood07, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4yup i agree. favorite source for game reviews i've come across
- Appox, on 10/25/2007, -1/+3Another good'en.
- mrbike, on 10/26/2007, -11/+3You don't have to run on that wheel for half an hour. Try actually playing the game buddy.
- GeneralFailure0, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8Yeah, but you still have to run on that wheel way too long. My game shouldn't be interupted with a slave labor mini-game that plays that true to life.
- lydecker, on 10/26/2007, -0/+10Apparently you're smart if you depress the D-pad and walk away (according to zero).
But not nearly as smart as if you search and find the safe with the money stashed away.
- lydecker, on 10/26/2007, -0/+10Apparently you're smart if you depress the D-pad and walk away (according to zero).
- kefs, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4he said quarter of an hour, and it's just below that..
and wtf is up w/ not being able to skip all the ***** text/talking.. - vogelzang, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2mrbike is actually right. there is a secret room/vault you can find if you look hard enough, allowing you to skip the hamster wheel.
- sancho, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1I found that safe--but you have to pay off some guy to get to it. And you need cash to pay him off. And... you need to run in the hamster wheel to get that cash.
It takes way too long.
- sancho, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1I found that safe--but you have to pay off some guy to get to it. And you need cash to pay him off. And... you need to run in the hamster wheel to get that cash.

- sleeknerve, on 10/26/2007, -1/+19i look forward to Wednesdays now with his reviews. they are extremely funny and witty.
- BenKenobi88, on 10/26/2007, -3/+9Funny as always. I agree with the review as well...I loved the first Paper Mario on N64...this one just had too much talking...it was boring.
- matmadus, on 10/24/2007, -1/+0Best review I've seen in a long time. I'm now loong forward to see more of his reviews.
- MaTT2011, on 10/25/2007, -2/+1Brilliant! I agree; chapter 2 was...ridiculous on all levels (though the rest of the game is great) and the gameplay actually seemed much more fragmented than, of all things, the last turn based system because you have to constantly switch your pixel buddy to adapt to the situations...which wouldn't have been so bad if you had a quick means of doing so but instead you have to navigate a few menus everytime thus pausing the action of the game...hence the use of the word "fragmented"
but i did like the wii-specific features....but they should have had a whole lot more. - bergur1, on 10/26/2007, -1/+9I love how witty he is in every one of his videos. After some time you start to notice things taken from older videos (bioshock figurine, portals (CAKE!)).
- auger282, on 10/26/2007, -1/+7thats hilarious I put the remote under a table for 15 min to make the 10k hehe
but its still a great game - czeman, on 10/30/2007, -6/+1It seemed like I was supposed to be bidding on something. I closed it out before I could spend any money and not be able to pay the mortgage.
- Ghoztt, on 10/26/2007, -2/+25I too, fear catching the gay.
- Sogui, on 10/25/2007, -4/+2Count Bleck wins as the most badass villain in a Mario series yet...
- darkhero, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Kidnap the Queen!
- darkhero, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4Save the queen, save the world!
- Lyght, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1Queen?
- GWAN, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1You mean cheerleader?
- KIERANMULLEN, on 10/25/2007, -15/+1Was anyone else expecting actual gameplay to be in the review? A few snapshots perhaps?
- d1g1, on 10/25/2007, -0/+9If you watched his other reviews you will see that Yahtzee normally doesn't include any gameplay footage or snapshots.
- valkyries, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1well he got some cake thru a portal does that count?
- d1g1, on 10/25/2007, -0/+9If you watched his other reviews you will see that Yahtzee normally doesn't include any gameplay footage or snapshots.
- xerus, on 10/25/2007, -14/+1Yay Zero Punctuation! Listen, its a great video series, but we dont have to submit every ***** episode to digg.
- banty19, on 10/29/2007, -0/+22I agree with him but he didn't harp on what irritated me most: how slow some of the animations are. They don't take a really long time but every elevator ride and 3D/2D flip takes a lot longer than it should. All of those small delays add up pretty quickly.
- empath, on 10/26/2007, -0/+11How could he not mention having to click the button approximately 80 billion times to get through the interminable text based sequences. If I wanted to read a book, I would have bought a ***** book.
I think the the hamster wheel bit was the best part of the game. Pure genius as a commentary on the conventions of videogames. Not so fun to actually DO though. - spoodigity, on 10/24/2007, -1/+0The part where you had to earn money was about the worst game design I've ever seen. Thankfully the rest of the game was pretty fun for the most part.
- torifile, on 10/25/2007, -14/+1Super Paper Mario? Didn't that come out months ago? Yeah. It did.
- R3Dirkulous, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8and he made note of that..did you watch the video?
- DubbleA, on 11/06/2007, -6/+2Here are some other reviews by the same person:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Yaht ... - TastyCookie, on 10/25/2007, -2/+13He did the money-earning part the stupid way. I did it with the puzzles and stuff. >_>
- p0tent1al, on 10/25/2007, -3/+6I love this guy, but don't be dissing my JRPG's. Paper Mario might be decent, but I'd take Final Fantasy over it any day.
And I'd take Super Mario RPG over this whole series for that matter too.- jessi74, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1If you'd seen his other reviews, you would have noticed from the console rundown that he doesn't like Final Fantasy either, claiming it can be approximated by listening to the star wars soundtrack while huffing nitrous oxide and reading an excel spreadsheet.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/edit ...
I love Yahtzee.
- jessi74, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1If you'd seen his other reviews, you would have noticed from the console rundown that he doesn't like Final Fantasy either, claiming it can be approximated by listening to the star wars soundtrack while huffing nitrous oxide and reading an excel spreadsheet.
- ThEDeMoNKiNg, on 11/06/2007, -0/+22So.. Umm. Just to be sure, this picture Peach is available at deviantart, right now?
Link..? - Gooble74, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1The part where you have to earn the money was a great spoof on american values and work ethic. The game is enjoyable if you're not a complete moron. Needless to say the review was great.
- aratto, on 10/26/2007, -6/+13You did NOT have to work for the money. Only an imbecile would actually think that Nintendo would force you to do this, and I will now cry at night for anyone who did it this way. There was a vault at the top of the level with the exact amount needed that you could access by solving some puzzles that I forget the setups and solutions for. It probably involved using those dudes you collected along the way. I guess Nintendo thought, given the amount of time required to actually earn the correct amount, any sentient creature would naturally conclude that there was an easier way. They should have implanted some kind of a tracker device in the game so that we can finally start dishing out the natural selection that up to this point has been smothered by the concept of civilization. I mean, Christ.
- ShaunBRS, on 10/25/2007, -0/+10You had to work to pay the prisoners for the passcodes needed to access the vault, which took five or ten minutes and was unavoidable.
- sancho, on 10/25/2007, -1/+2Please digg up ShaunBRS, as he's 100% right. You need 10,000 Rubees to get the code to the vault, if you don't use a FAQ.
- goodposter, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1aratto is a liar, and he doesn't know what he is talking about.
- ShaunBRS, on 10/25/2007, -0/+10You had to work to pay the prisoners for the passcodes needed to access the vault, which took five or ten minutes and was unavoidable.
- AMDnVidiaATi, on 10/25/2007, -3/+1Unfortunately that was his worst review yet...
- DinosWillDie13, on 10/26/2007, -2/+1I am a huge Nintendo fan, and I love paper mario games, but some of the dialog in this one made me feel like I was 3.
- Nadan10, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2I've been wanting to see a review like this for yonks.
- chillfaktor, on 10/25/2007, -1/+3I loved this game! its full of references that can be interpreted as rude if read by an adult but seem to fit in perfectly into the mario universe from a kid's perspective, full of references to the power of big corporations and sidehits to zelda. And best of all, it doesnt take itself so damn serious and has a wicked art-style combined with pretty clever puzzles.
- lowmagnet, on 10/25/2007, -0/+0GLEE
- kelowna4life, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1I loved this game, i love this review more!
- yayaja67, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1It seemed like he couldn't make up his mind on whether he liked this game or not. Still he is the man, i wish this guy could somehow review every game that comes out.
- IntangibleGrasp, on 10/26/2007, -1/+2Dugg for the Earthbound reference. Seriously if you haven't played that game yet (and gone through the effort required to leave the starting town), you have no idea what youre missing.
- CamelToad, on 11/06/2007, -6/+1This game made me seriously ponder whether I'm too old for Mario (26). I would play any mundane piece of ***** game as a wee lad, but this game is ***** intolerable. Worst game I've been duped into playing 50% of in a long, long time.
- twigboy, on 11/06/2007, -0/+223 and loving it
some people grow up too fast, others just dont grow up at all
- twigboy, on 11/06/2007, -0/+223 and loving it
- Pyloff, on 11/06/2007, -0/+2Damn I love this guy. Where was that Bioshock review again?
- canadian8703, on 11/06/2007, -0/+2http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Yaht ...
- ModemGhost, on 11/06/2007, -0/+2Also, there's a link to it right on the same page as the Paper Mario review you just watched...
- psykiv, on 11/06/2007, -2/+7Super Mario RPG > Any paper mario game
- ZenMojo, on 11/06/2007, -3/+4Good to see that 3 games after Square bailed on their asses, Nintendo has managed to drive a classic franchise into mediocrity.
- lostdiggacct, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1Hi, flashback, it was SeVille's interior. I own one, I kind of know.
- ZenMojo, on 10/26/2007, -1/+1These reviews are dead-on and I love how the guy doesn't feel the need to qualify his enjoyment by overwriting his own complaints with the game. Too many reviewers who enjoy a game hide the really bad parts (which always ends up pissing me off in the long run.)
- michaelaranda, on 11/06/2007, -0/+11I just noticed that in the screenshot he shows of dictionary.com's entry for "game", one of the other tabs he has open is titled "Super Huge *****".
- chillfaktor, on 11/06/2007, -0/+3I knew it!
- JayRD, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1Getting Peach nekkid is win in my book. Anywho, I've never played the GCN Paper Mario... so who the heck tries to get her naked? Bowser?
- wushu18t, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1after this review...i was able to see the cross between paper mario and old mario bros!
- brizznady, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1***** yes! Perfect.
- rmeddy, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2Not a bad game but those long cut scenes and talking pissed me off.
- Peter89, on 10/26/2007, -1/+2Dugg for Earthbound reference. Best game ever.
- andrewrocks, on 10/25/2007, -5/+1GODDAMNIT I WISH THESE ***** SITES HAD BETTER ***** SERVERS. *****. It seems like every day I encounter more and more downed sites. It's especially awesome when none of the six mirrors work at all. *****!!!!
- canadian8703, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1Here is a list of all his review so far (at least i think so)
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Yaht ... - richofsilence, on 10/26/2007, -6/+0Dude is not funny and his Halo 3 review was garbage.
- HerbSolo, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2This guy could review golf clubs every week and i'd watch it.
