- jerseyboy91, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Maybe add some updated classic levels in the game? New fish for the lake?
Sounds like a good idea to me.- Rayonic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Sounds like you'd be able to buy a new dungeon or two, to get new items and maybe even some armor for your horse. Expanding the game with new sidequests and items.
I hope it'll be reasonably priced. - YourTechSupport, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2New ways to decorate thine pony. Woot!
- Klarth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10HORSE ARMOUR?!
- errorjustin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Dugg down for being INACCURATE. It isn't ZELDA that will have downloadable content, just WII GAMES IN GENERAL.
- scratched, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Bug fixes sound more likely for Zelda. I remember there were oodles of bugs in OoT that Nintendo fixed with various releases. My guess is that Nintendo would plan on fixing glitches in the game with patches. Perhaps since Nintendo put so much work into making the game for 2 systems, they overlooked minor bugs while porting it.
My money would go towards bug fixes before they offer bonus content to TP. - Nodren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@errorjustin:
the entire Q&A was related to zelda, so why would one question of the Q&A not be zelda related, and if it was general wii info, it'd be way off, since obviously some other wii games will have online play.
- Rayonic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Sounds like you'd be able to buy a new dungeon or two, to get new items and maybe even some armor for your horse. Expanding the game with new sidequests and items.
- TwilightThorn, on 10/12/2007, -26/+3Thats baller
- CrazyForSW, on 10/12/2007, -21/+1This is teh most baller *****. Ever.
- CrazyForSW, on 10/12/2007, -15/+3EVER!
- haney64, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28Hmm... this is hardly confirmation...
"GP: What sorts of online features are you looking forward to in the future?
Harrison: Downloadable content, such as additional levels.
GP: Any plans for any type of post-release online component for Twilight Princess?
Harrison: I haven't heard of anything yet. I think everyone is still busy trying to make sure the game gets out correctly."- dgcrazykid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17I agree, it sounds as if he was talking about online in general, not Zelda specific.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4the interview is about twilight princess. they don't have to mention it each question.
- daridave, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I agree, but then again they do are talking about the game exclusively.
- clempka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Marked as inaccurate for this very reason.
- farther, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15How dare you sully Zelda with microtransactions!
- blork1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15"Transactions" implies you will have to buy them. The WiiConnect24 stuff will be free.
- mgrasso, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Demos and promotional videos will be free. Extra game content will not.
- Wratherin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Anyone else notice that three different kids posted trying to say they were the first comment?
Never quite understood the big deal of being "first post" anyway.- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9First reply to your comment! woo hoo!
- fyter1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9This has already been debunked as "taken out of context" by Harrison himself. The question was related to downloadable content in general, not content for Zelda.
- ZennZero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Regardless of whether this is for Zelda or not, I am curious about what kind of downloadable content will be offered for games. The Wii's writable storage capacity is pretty limited. Even with SD cards to expand the memory, I can't imagine you could have lots of large downloads (like levels with higher resolution textures, etc.) do to the lack of large-scale storage.
- Langford, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This downloadable content had better be free, or I may revolt. We don' need the evils of micro-payments tainting the Nintendo. Just sell me a complete game, and get out of my hair.
- danielrh9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Harrison also said that new Zelda downloadable content would also feature user specific "advertisement opportunities". For instance, you will also be able to purchase BALANCE brand horse feed for Epona. Also, you will be able to purchase Master Replica sword models for Link.
- solarisom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I cringe every time I see the word "confirmed" in a title or caption.
- LordofChaosIori, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Man... if my Wii was a Lamborghini I'd have the biggest orgasm in the world. C'mon Nintendo!!!
- wireframe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Totally inaccurate...
Read the damn article and see what Harrison has to say about download content in twilight princess:
"Q: Any plans for any type of post-release online component for Twilight Princess?
Harrison: I haven't heard of anything yet. I think everyone is still busy trying to make sure the game gets out correctly." - NipGrip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Buried as inaccurate as he explicitly states nothing planned for Zelda just yet.
