- inactive, on 11/22/2007, -0/+63wtf, i tried to read fast and with his accent but it's ***** up without his voice
- kevizzy37, on 11/22/2007, -1/+52Travelogue? I wish it was another review, but how can you complain with entries such as, "Amazingly I've been in LA for two hours, and I still haven't been stabbed."...
- Postmodernism, on 11/22/2007, -1/+46I love Yahtzee, his Zero Punctuation reviews are the best game reviews ever.
- Puppetfunk, on 11/22/2007, -0/+44Mmmm I love the correlation between the last and second-to last entries.
- xTRUMANx, on 11/22/2007, -3/+25Long article, not much written unless your really curious about Yahtzee's trip to America. Two memorable lines though:
The industry's method of game development (excluding Valve):
"...than the more conventional routine of whipping the code monkeys with leather straps to make a strict publishing deadline."
Yahtzee's cynicism's rise and fall:
"but I really think my cynicism for the United States has tempered somewhat."
*very next paragraph*
"This is why you're all so fat, you bunch of road sign-shooting Yankee pillocks." - 3wiid, on 11/22/2007, -2/+22A guy from Penny-Arcade decided to step in and take a stab at Some Punctuation in his stead. Pretty awesome imo except the voice... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XSpPIBvjN4
"It's too bad that Yahtzee wasn't able to make a Zero Punctuation this week, but at least the travelog was pretty interesting. Yet I know everybody really wanted to see him tear into some game. So here is my petty offering: Some Punctuation I review The Art of Theft in Zero Punctuation style. Sorry if it's hard to understand the muddled words, I'll post a transcript if asked for one. I also promise to never do this again." - Chompy, on 11/22/2007, -1/+19I didn't realize 50s dice games were traveling now.
- ThEDeMoNKiNg, on 11/22/2007, -2/+19Thank Christ I'll be in America soon, where people treat each other right.
Did anyone else laugh hysterically at that? - Sharshush, on 11/22/2007, -0/+16seeing a picture of the man, it all makes sense now
- LowROI, on 11/22/2007, -0/+15medium, large, king size + time stamp = win
- CheeseBiscuits, on 11/22/2007, -1/+14Holy *****, he just revealed a new "Meet the Team" short in the works for Team Fortress 2. Hope it's the Pyro.
Mmph mmph mmph! - goldfenix, on 11/22/2007, -0/+12It's all about the hat.
- Rupan, on 11/22/2007, -1/+9I was just blue balled by Yahtzee.
- Chetyre, on 11/22/2007, -0/+6"This was a much jollier experience in which cheerful mutants waited giggling behind corners for the survivors to show up before jumping out and blinding them with jets of projectile vomit."
Love it. - soapycub, on 11/22/2007, -1/+4Yahtzee for PM!
- blademanx, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3Awesome, I thought I was the only one who tried that.
- themastersb, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3That's what I thought at first
- TaintedBlu, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2"a brisk walk through unrelentingly posh Bellevue interior decor to get to the offices"
He's just described Bellevue to a tee. Don't get me wrong, I love my home town... but my god, too many rich people. - chaos7, on 11/22/2007, -2/+4Valve rules
- spawnfree, on 11/22/2007, -1/+3As much as i did when the Simpsons used the same joke when some film makers were returning to Hollywood.
- MatttK, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1He got the visual presentation down but, IMO, the speech (not just the lack of accent or lesser delivery) was way off. You could tell he was imitating the style but lacked the real style of Yahtzee. Still, it was entertaining... wouldn't watch a second one though.
- tektalk, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1He definitely needs to make a video on this; not just write a travelogue. :)
- tektalk, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Your mom was.
- dadioflex, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1That's cool and all but if it was any other company buying his flight over wouldn't we be getting suspicious about them trying to "buy" some positive PR in the future. ZP is a relentlessly caustic review show and now Valve have rubbed up against the creator and made purring noises - will he ever be able to treat them the same again? I suppose time will tell.
- cvrefugee, on 11/22/2007, -1/+2Never take a zero in Yahtzee.
- zachshmack, on 11/25/2007, -0/+1Congratulations on having seen all 10,000 Simpsons episodes.
- Unr3a1, on 11/22/2007, -10/+11"Medium," "Large" and "King Size"? What the ***** is that? How the ***** can "Medium" be the smallest? Do you even know what the word "Medium" means? This is why you're all so fat, you bunch of road sign-shooting Yankee pillocks.
- tektalk, on 11/22/2007, -2/+2You do mean: "Yahtzee's cynicism's fall and rise:"
FIXED - EvaMonkey01, on 11/22/2007, -2/+2Yahtzee is the only games reviewer I trust.
- SuperGreen420, on 11/22/2007, -2/+1Hey, he looks just like Trilby!
Yahtzee, He's like the cool, intelligent and hilarious college friend we all knew would become somewhat famous for his brain. - cosmosprince, on 11/22/2007, -5/+0yahtzee is foony. oh boy i cant wait for the next 'meet the team' video!
- MadOgre, on 11/22/2007, -6/+1"Amazingly I've been in LA for two hours, and I still haven't been sodomized."
- There... I fixed it for you. - noobeffect, on 11/22/2007, -7/+1A comment that's moreover suited for NY.
