I love my PlayStation 2 but I don't like the way Sony hyped the HDD add on and then dropped support for it. I also don't like the Live type content that you don't have with the PS2. I know the XBOX 360 has problems but the Live on-line content and the ability to have a unified friends list and what not. If Sony does not create a on-line content environment like M$ did then I think the PS3 is going to have a lot of people defect. Don't get me wrong I don't like M$ any better than most people. This is one product they did correctly. Sony needs to wake up and learn from M$. That or license live and get all of the benefits with out have to do the development and cash in.

This looks more like a highschool flash project than a professional flash for the WSJ. The info is old and some is totally incorrect. However, the article did make me laugh.

If I were to predict, I would say the trend this generation (in terms of market share) will continue following the: Sony will dominate, just as it did this round. I've played most of headliners the Xbox 360 has to offer in terms of a graphical/creative standpoint and was rather unimpressed. I'm sure the 360 has a lot of untapped power (see: Gears of War) and probably won't fully be utilized until years afterwards, most likely to occur with the PS3 as well. After viewing the [in game] PS3 tech demos, I was floored with how impressive the graphics looked... far superior to anything the xbox 360 currently offers (even GoW, imo). And I refuse to play the Revolution (when released) solely based on the aesthetics of it's very unusual controller. And until I see some Revolution games in action, I really can't comment there, but I have a good feeling that the Revolution's lack of HD will ultimately wound the console more than anything.
Anyways, I don't know why or how I get so easily dragged into these console debates but regardless, this was a piece of ***** flash. Few games, mediocre improvements from the original xbox & finally the overheating issue, this problem was so prevelant that a celeb (Not sure who) actually threw the xbox 360 in the dumpster becoz it overheated & was full of crap!
Nin10do this company has stayed a float for many years with Icons such as Mario & Zelda. I also am impress w/ the sucess of NDS even though it had a though competion w/ the psp, plus the fact that its bulky & has a very unsexy colors about it!!

At least Nintendo is doing something new and refreshing with the controller. Extra stuff never does that well on any system, and why would you want a extra dvd player. I already got a DVD player, $30 at walmart. I am rooting for the revolution, Cheaper system, Cheaper games, more fun, I hope....
