- Diggtatorship, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12This just in from Japan: 580,000 Wii's sold in just two weeks, while Xbox360 is struggling to hit half that number in over a year!
Scale those numbers and Wii is selling 600 times faster than the Xbox3600 in Japan. (see, I can make asinine comparisons too) - VerbalIronyX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Ok... There have been a lot of stories about this. But what people fail to realize is that there are not any wiis to sell. Maybe thats why figures are down!
- kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6HEADLINE: Nintendo ships 75% less wii's for the week right after their launch! Sells out!
- iluvatar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Misleading headline notwithstanding, the Wii still sold more than double the 360. I'm impressed Microsoft is even still in the game in Japan, but it will be a long time before they can topple Japan's native consoles in their own country.
- aahpandasrun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Xbox 360 sales up 772%
It's not like it was selling very well to begin with.
Japan just went from selling 2 Xbox 360s to 14 - fanboydcs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Lets say this alittle better shall we... Xbox 360 availability is up 772% and Wii availability is down 75%.
Come on this head line is bogus, the Wii is sold out EVERYWHERE.. The xbox is not... - usernameistaken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Buried for being lame and being a blog.
- Splitt3rxx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1of course they sold less, they didn't have enough. gratz to microsoft for finally starting to penetrate japan. if wii AND 360 take hold in japan sony is so *****. nah, 360 wont take hold in japan, but it will sell better than the original XBOX, and wii will sureley own Japan... if they can come out with some good RPGs.
- HolyChimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you look at the figures this article got it's info from, it even mentions that 6 xboxes were sold. I just found that amusing and thought I'd share it.
- migla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Also, it's lame when people withhold possibly relevant information in the description in order to trick people into checking out the story.
"can be attributed to..." I'm not gonna go find out. Lame. - RonnieSan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yes. Unless people are buying more than one console, I would expect sales to slow down after people already have them.
- ricce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hmm.... XBox 360 selling 33,343 units and Wii 85,000 units.
I think Wii have the advantage here: even if the 360 is selling 772% more then last week it is not even halfway to what Wii sells.
