I'm not one to pick sides (they all get on my nerves a way or another), I just buy what I want, but I have to admit I almost feel "sorry" for M$. The system keeps getting hammered, especially in Japan, yet there's some GREAT games on it. I've been busy *playing* since I bought it, so I just don't understand how this is happening. If anything, I'm glad to see the price cut give them some sort of boost... now, if they could stop being smart asses and lower that ridiculously-priced 120GB hard drive and/or wifi adapter...

And there aren't many AAA titles headed to the PS2 anymore.

Those along with all the EA Sports games being better on 360 (although they all blow, people buy em) Sony doesn't have any bullets this holiday season.

I've seen a lot of PS3 or Xbox owners who buy a Wii, but there aren't many people out there who buy a PS3 and a Xbox.

My comment was just to deflect the never ending hardware failure defense. Microsoft has addressed this and obviously they would not be selling newer units that would have the same issues. With particular topic is talking about NEW sales...
I bought my 360 for games and if you look at all the attacks on consoles, you will find very few fanboys from either camp that criticize MS in the game department.
When the PS3 is substantially cheaper I will buy one also. I currently have a 360/Wii/PSP so they all get a piece of the pie from me. - Danjak, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Actually, no. The Wii has the worst game lineup, bar none. The Wii has its strengths, but game lineup isn't one of them. The PS3 has built in Bluray. As this country moves more and more to HD, people will realize what a bargain the PS3 is. Plus, once developers start to unlock the power of the PS3, the 360 will look lame in comparison. Just give it time, my man. :)

- spudnic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6I know plenty of people who have their Wii sitting in the corner gathering dust (hell, even my dad bought one). The problem the Wii is going to have is not getting many 3rd party games due to dissapointing game sales.
This is just my prediction mind, but let me explain. I think game developers are used to a certain number of games sold per console, and with so many people who aren't gamers in the traditional sense buying a Wii the games/console ratio is going to be a lot lower than what what the game developers expect. - Cole2026, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Because ICSU said it is accurate, it HAS to be accurate.

That game is absolutely amazing (I was a beta tester and even though I had it for a month or two and played it constantly I'm still ridiculously excited to pick it up at launch.). Lair is coming out early September and even if it's crap/mediocre it'll probably push a few consoles (hopefully by the release time they've fixed the things that critics don't like). Heavenly sword comes out next month and from the beta it seems to be kicking all sorts of ass.

And you have fun playing Madden, personally I haven't had the urge to pick up Madden in years. I'm currently playing R6:Vegas and Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3 and it's awesome. Ninja Gaiden received Game of the month from both IGN and Gamespy for July. And I will be picking up Warhawk this month. So no blank stares for me. But Wii, compared to PS3/Xbox serves a very DIFFERENT purpose, serves a different DEMOGRAPHIC, and serves different genre's of games. It is, yes, in a league of it's own. It's still part of gaming on a whole, but if the PS3 is a porno flick, and the Wii is an action flick, would you still say they're competing in the same market? They're both movies!
