- DAaaMan64, on 10/12/2007, -2/+71Look at all these responses with links to horrible game covers. So what do you think, 2-3 days till we have the story "Top 10 Worst Game Covers of All Time."?
You know it will happen... - shaun1018, on 10/12/2007, -2/+50***** picking on Megaman...

- sphark, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Wow... digging a comment up twice really does work.
- fantasticjon, on 10/12/2007, -6/+27@missflibbles.
You can digg a comment up twice. Just hit the up thumb twice really quickly. Really. - wounded625, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19@DAaaMan64
working on it now ;-) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19From Amazon? RTA.
- eMximeR, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21^Agreed, there have been ALOT worse than this.
- Rileyper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Better than the white paper with sharpie on it saying the title at gamestop Is it that hard to print a label
- DeskFlyer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18Worst photo of worst box art branding ever.
- 8177, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Dont try it. Eventually you will end up digging up his comment as practice.
I see your plan. You rogue. - RatherDashing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16digging a comment twice doesn't really work. It looks to you like you dugg it up twice, but only recognizes one of your diggs on the server.
- Klarth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I always say whilst.
:( - missflibbles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12skotski, if I could digg you up twice, I would.
- lithuin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I bet the guy who designed this used to work for a box factory that made boxes used for holding other, smaller boxes.
In that situation, he'd be a pretty awesome designer. - xaaronreevesx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9it doesnt really work the way it seems... refresh and you will see that you only dugg them up once.
- Dgen_X, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I think it's pretty awesome-tastic
but I once owned a t-shirt with a picture of a t-shirt on it...... - bigbadgoat, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14Is it wrong of me to actually like it?
it's very clean.
At least it isnt a blaring lime green like PS1's greatest hits. I'd go out of my way, and pay more for a non-greatest hit's version. - 8177, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8years=minutes
- 4tygames, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Get some legal size paper and print this cover out for your Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow DS case.
It will look a lot better!
http://thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=767 - eric0213, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8The best branding ever (Microsoft Designs the iPod Package)
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=36099539665548298 - 8177, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6That must be one big lollipop.
- charlescheese, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It took my eyes a while to figure out what the hell was going on with that cover... That is really an odd way of rebranding a game.
- TheWorm, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11I don't think I'll ever understand the Japanese.
- garageillusion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Its kind of like the "greatest hits" collection for ps1. A badge of honor for the frugal, an eyesore for the OCD collector, and a mark of shame amongst those with the digg mentality of jumping on bandwagons before they even existed.
- morningmatters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Not sure if this is only me but I don't like the DS Castlevania boxart at at all. The boxart for SoTN and PS2 castlevania games were so much better. Fortunately, the DS castlevania games were great (although a bit too easy).
- andrewbmoore, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It seems as though this is a re-release of the game as part of a collection of "classics". I hate to say it, but I think it was a clever way of marketing in this specific scenario, by showing a picture of the original game box with a big label designating it as one part of a set of classic re-releases (implying that there may be more that you can search for and buy). Of course, I'm by no means an expert and would welcome corrections to my logic.
- Konstantino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'm referring to the branding "Konami's best". It's not hard to figure out.
- prelelat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4interesting enough http://psiphon.civisec.org/ is blocked at my work.
- merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"digging a comment twice doesn't really work. It looks to you like you dugg it up twice, but only recognizes one of your diggs on the server."
I was about to post the same thing, but I saw you beat me to it.
So I dugg you up twice. - Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6They have the official Assassin's Creed and MGS4 box art on that site??
http://thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=1889
http://thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=1995 - Aaronichi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4not any worse than this:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/27/62921968_0a368bab7c.jpg?v=0 - slapded, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6i remember when 'double dribble' talked to me. i was in awe for 3 weeks.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Ah, upon closer inspection these aren't "official" and don't even look as if they're made by a real graphic designer. The way the text is set up is definitely not professional, never mind the stretched Assassin's Creed front cover. Ignore my above post, although they are still cool to look at.
- Thorpe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3They did this with the old Platinum PS2 box arts from Europe.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, they feel like it's important enough to print a legit label for an unreleased game just so you can preorder it when they don't they care enough to reprint a label for a customer buying a used game? I mean, it IS where they get their biggest profits. I'd much rather buy a used game if it has a legit cover and manual than just the disc.
On another note, why in the HELL does Gamestop/EB take games for trade-ins at the same price no matter if you have only a disc and no cover or if you've kept the game completely mint? I'm tired of trying to find a game in a store only to buy it (at the insane used price) without anything but a p.o.s. DVD box. Where is the incentive to get a little bit more for your games when you trade them in by taking care of them? - arnar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Does this classify as "metadesign"? :o)
- unitethenations, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3From the comments on the page: "http://www.ssukstudios.co.uk/_rubbish/konamisbestimproved.jpg"
- merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"it's very clean."
Except for, you know, the redundant ESRB, DS, and Konami logos. One of each is enough, thanks. - Paiku, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4HAHAHA I just can't stop laughing, man that mega man box is just....ahahhahaha
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3They should do one of those picture in picture in picture....

Who wouldn't wanna be a hand model for video games? - merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2...Except this also adds a redundant ESRB, DS, and Konami logo.
And a bunch of wasted whitespace. - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why not just get USB Tor-park
