- Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dragon kill points or something. It was made up back in the day of EQ (1) I believe for a system of fair distribution of items from very hard to kill mobs. The more you went on raids the more points you got. When items dropped that you wanted, you would "spend" your points (from 1 to however many you had) and it was like putting lottery tickets into a pool. The more points, the better chance you had of getting an item. If you won, you subtracted as many points as you bet, if you lost, you only lose 1.
I haven't been on a raid in forever but I'm pretty sure that covers the basics of the system, I'm sure there's more complicated nuances to it nowadays but that's all you'll want to know I gather :) - Starch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thats some hard-core raid leader right there. In some of the tougher encounters in WoW, you got 40 people on your side and they all gotta listen to you. Organize 40 people, make sure they can make it that night and come on the VOIP, make sure you got the right mix of this class or that... its a real nightmare when things go wrong!
