- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+44Best. Picture. Ever.
- Jrr6415sun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18What I have found is the Wii really is a party machine... amazing fun when you're with a group of people, just alright by yourself.. you really need to have friends to get the most out of it.. I now see why you had to sell it.
- konspence, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14I'm facing a moral dilemna: I really want a Wii, but I also don't want to support Walmart.
Hm... - jchip, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10That picture pretty much sums up the PS3 / Wii situation.
- garugaga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Is this gonna be in Canada too?
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10They're passing the time while their showroom PS3 cools down after overheating...
- Mufflegrump, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You joke, Jrr, but you actually have a point. For those of us with no social skills or a life all this multiplayer crap sucks. :( If I had friends I wouldn't *need* video games. I miss the days when single player mode was what everyone raved about.
Not that I don't absolutely love my Wii, I just wish there was still the focus on singleplayer that there used to be. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I want one to, but im sick of trying to get one. I hate the hassle of trying to get one, it makes me mad.
- marcuschi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I agree. I just got one after this post.. and now I'm thinking.. now what? It's 2 in the morning and I have no one to play it with. Maybe I'll return it and try to find another one in a different store.
- kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5i'm still amazed that these reports are still needed in many areas in the country for the wii instead of the ps3 - i had thought back in october the opposite would be true.
but what about ds lites? those things are always gone, everywhere, always. any reports on restocks at various stores? - gmprunner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+55 Wiis = 2min and 30sec before they are sold out
- afx1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'm gonna see the same poor bastards lined up from last week's Target sale...where everyone got skunked.
- OregonTrail, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3OK, now the fifty of us know, but dont let anyone else digg.
*wink* - InternetDisease, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You know what? You're lying. That's all.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3my virgin eyes! This is worlds worse than goatse!
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sorry if we don't all live in your town. The average population is probably a few million more. Plus we also have a *****-ton of tourists from Arizona to deal with.
To give you an example...I live in San Diego. There haven't been Wii's in stock for more than 3 minutes at a time since November. If you were smart you'd buy some and ship them out here. - patw85, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3thank you digg just read this at 11:30 went straight to walmart and got one
- eSecuris, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2All i can figure out is you work for sony or are 12. either way stop being a troll.
- kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2here in atlanta it's a barren wasteland of no DS lites
- revisrev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yea, gfxwench is great.
In another thread that was about the wii doing well he posted the same thing about sears.com having it in stock like five times. Thing is, sears.com didn't have it in stock. He's lying through his teetha and very deserving of this block that I'm about to give him. - ahatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I live in oklahoma my local store will have 14 at midnight and I will be there.
- chapinmesa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2We've got 4 PS3s sitting in our Wal*Mart here, too bad no-one knows what a PS3 is here haha.
- doctorcaligari, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I just came back from my rural backwoods Wal-Mart. The people there didn't know what I was taking about. The manager first asked me what a "Wii" was, then when he couldn't find the shelf tag, said "I guess we don't sell those". He did point at a Gamecube and ask if that was what I was looking for.
- Kennedy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm with patw85, I checked digg, and went to my local walmart and scored one. SWEET!!!
- anti_hax0r, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5That's original.
- jordan.basham, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I got one at one of the two Wally-Marts here in Bowling Green, KY. I went to the newer store they had 16, I was 13th in line at 11:15pm CST. There were only 15 people in line until about 11:55 when one lady showed up to get one for her grandson, then about 50 showed up at midnight. The other store had 33 according to the one of the workers in the electronics dept. Good times.
- Mufflegrump, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's easily my favorite thing about Wal-Mart. No matter how much paint you ate as a child, you can always find someone who will make you feel smart. :)
- tms8707056, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just got mine... Not sure how many were left but I was the only person there to get one at midnight. No official line or anything like that. Had to get a manager to go to the back and find it. They didn't have a clue about what a Wii was... but I live in Hickville, AR (Pop 15,000) and there aren't many ppl here who care about such things. I think this is the first shipment of Wiis to this particular Wal-Mart store.
- jollygreengiant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just got mine from my local walmart at midnight. They had 12 wii's at mine and they sold six right at midnight.
- marcuschi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1After reading this I just drove down to my local supercenter and picked one up. This is why I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Digg! You guys rock! I'm in Georgia btw, so I'm guessing no one likes Wiis down here.
- Dou6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I went to my local walmart after caling. SOB's now say corporate told them to hold them till 8am...WTF
- quiksliver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1just throwing this out there because I want a wii too....
besides zelda and wii sports, are there any good games out/coming out soon? because those two are the only one I can think of.... - HP844182, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I picked mine up kind of as an impulse buy. "Huh...DS Lite..."
It was the last one though... - aserer511, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1haha, a mob of nerdy 18-24 year olds will now be swarming at local walmarts :P
- AmpCoder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My local WalMart got 18 Wiis in for the sale today. I was there for about 4 hours waiting for the midnight launch and as it turned out I was the only person there at midnight that got a Wii. I guess the other 17 will be bought up by the end of the day.
- gweedo767, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hays, KS Walmart got 20. Now more of my friends have Wii's finally!
- rickywebster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Stores in my area (eastern PA) received about thirty each. If you head out now (about 1:30 am) you can likely still pick one up.
- Ionik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@seph
Were you in Champaign? Because that describes my situation to a T. - mfdave87, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Woohoo! Got up at 6, went to Walmart, waited with only about 5 people in the nice warm vestibule (the Walmart people were really nice. Go to the Walmart in Crestwood, IL for now on, it's a new store and they're really nice people)(if you can get past the fact that Walmart is an evil megacorp that takes steaming dumps on the chests of the American workers). They had 20 Wiis, so I got one easily and an extra Wiimote. I was gonna get Wario Ware as well, but my b-day is this week so my mom was like "Don't buy any games!". I'm good with Wii Sports for right now. But hot damn, I was seriously at one point thinking I'd never get one. Somewhere, an angel got its wings.
- EnSvensk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn. My Walmart was open 24-hour and they got 20! But They were sold out at 10 minutes past, when I saw this! >_>
However, they did say that I should check back in the morning because they might have some more...but I don't see how thats possible unless they with-held some for a morning release.... - Dou6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess I got ***** over by the one walmart in the area that held them till 8, they said it came straight from corporate. It is pissing me off that everyone else seemed to get them.
- blackbeard123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@keiths: thanks for posting the story! read it on digg at 11:pm, and by 12:30, i had my wii!!
i was number 13 in line, and they only had 18. i was lucky this time - afx1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"They're already there, check out this pic of a full shelf:"
Oh man, that was good! It's a wii, but it's not really the wii I was expecting! Man, you're quite the trickster. -1 - Billlbo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1# 12 in line! Woot! Though my particular one happens to have 43 today. Go Everett, WA!
- mutantspoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1didnt have to buy a bundle where i went.
- subarusqueege, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah..Here in hicktown I was the last one waiting out of about 8 or so people and I bought 2.....I saw 2 cases holding 3 each left here in North East PA
- rickywebster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The bundle is online-only. Wal-Mart stores do not have bundles for the Wii.
- Rodahue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Same here, my father, myself, and a few friends waited for about six hours in Wal-Mart. Got one and played some Twilight Princess, then tried out Wii Sports with my sister. She's in my room boxing right now - funniest thing in the world to watch.
- dkm201, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Excuse my ignorance... but do will you have to buy it as a bundle? When I look at the wal-mart website they only have it listed that way. Although I realize there's a difference between online and in-store... anyone know?
- mongrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man, there are 6 Wal Marts within 15 minutes of me - and NONE are 24-hour! What a drag, only 25 minutes to midnight...
