- tsar04, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31look at the black wiimote
- DjOverEZ, on 10/12/2007, -7/+23Yeah, it'd be $30 if it was a PS3 product.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+23I hear the black Wii is bigger than the white and the yellow is very small.
- BasouKazuma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14It would be pretty useless, if it werent free. Since it is free, it's a nice bonus that will give a better feel for playing racing games. Instead of just imagining the wiimote as a steering wheel.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Man, those thin horizonal lines one the borders of that site really freak out my eyes!
- cosmotron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I want a black wiimote... and a black wii.
- billymachine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Mywhitenoise, you have obviously never driven, nor even been inside a car before.
- Jpantoga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I must say...as much as I like mauling people to death in GTA , Nintendo definitely has a more intriguing product.
- antmess707, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9A demo of the game being played with it would have been nice
- JavertHolmes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Looks like a fairly cheap piece of plastic, but at least it's a pack-in item.

http://www.youtube.com/v/74kHabRBDGQ - darkcaps, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Just use a frisbee and cut a wii mote shaped hole in it
- afreakinninja, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Yeah, shouldn't it be a stiiring whiil?
- Insert31990, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I personally think it'd be a bit awkward to play with a free-floating steering wheel.
But I certainly am very curious to see if this works properly, if so, then rock right on for Monster 4x4. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Then you couldn't drive with one hand while you rap your other around your lady friend.
- SqueakyWheel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This just in Nintendo invented the wheel!
- negativenancy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11Umm... I believe the PS3 has the cheapest controller this gen ($39.99 compared to $60.00 Wii (Nunchuck included) and $60.00 Xbox 360 (including Play and Charge), and the memory-card adapter is supposed to cost $12.99 (many people on digg were saying it would be higher), a pretty fair price. Sony actually has some cheap accessories this gen. Your statement is inaccurate.
- aywwts4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Chromostereopsis seems pretty interesting, thanks for giving me a word I never knew before.
A good site with pictures: http://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/~akitaoka/scolor-e.html
Shamefully back in 98 I actually designed a site on purpose to do that narrow line effect, only it was black on orange. But I never used the blink tag! - bocoaot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Well don't throw your controller.
- blindr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5plastic horn? you think this is some kids toy?
- theredbicycle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Even if that game is terrible it's going to sell well just because people will want that Wiil adapter. (Assuming I'm not wrong in my assumption that no one else has created something commercially yet)
- PRlME, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"how are you going to make U-Turns and *****? Sounds pretty stupid."
don't knock it till you try it...the N64 remote was stupid looking with the analog stick on it
but now every controller has it...and even Sony wants to put a motion sensor in there controller now - DNABeast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think I'm getting EGA flashbacks
- Noffie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5That effect is called Chromostereopsis I believe
- myxyplik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You know, I really think a gas/brake pedal attachment would really be more useful. Holding down a button on the wiimote for gas while steering would get cumbersome I would imagine.
- daridave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Packedin with every copy". That's what I wanted to hear. That's what I hope I'll hear a lot more in the future. I think that's actually what made the NES so silly and cool at the same time -- I hope we get to see "some" of it again.
- InitialDMP5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3well the fact that the wheel is most likely hollow and lightweight, means that the Rumble will transfer from the Wii remote more easily.
But I agree that its pretty cheap, and that the only way people would get this add on is if it was free. - felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I couldn't stop thinking of John Cleese as the French guard in Monty Python & the Holy Grail.
- jrathert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yeah, that's taken care of for the full site (coming shortly). We didn't realize it at first, but have had quite a few comments on it, so it's definitely not something that's being transferred over.
- MisterKyle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's a nice thought, but damn is that thing ever small. It's like the kind of steering wheel you'd find on the kiddy rocket ship outside Walmart. Why not just tape the Wiimote to a real steering wheel? What would be so difficult with that? Like that guy in the first Wii trailer...that's probably what he did.
- P5ycHo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I laughed even more: He holds it the wrong way up.
- Shabadoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The interviewer barely kept it together, he was laughing so hard at the guy's accent.
- jrathert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I'd love to see more things packed in to add to the experience. I know this isn't really a realistic steering wheel, but the fact that it's free and it add a little more to experience, makes me want it... and having other games copy the forumula would be awesome.
- bedouin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I didn't know Bruno was a fashion correspondent AND a video game developer.

@Javer
how you can you tell it looks like a cheap piece of plastic as opposed to a high quality piece of plastic? - PigThief, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Direct YouTube link, if wanted:
http://www.youtube.com/v/74kHabRBDGQ - vawksel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Watch it turn out to be black painted styrofoam instead of plastic! :P Certainty would be cheaper.
They do have super-ridged styrofoam, so who knows. - heyitsme23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I wonder how realistic it is? what happens when you move the wheel around, instead of just turning it? This may make me want one.
- vawksel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It already has a "horn" there are tons of buttons in the middle of your stiiring wiil, so just press one of them with your thumb(s) while driving. Heh

http://www.heimcomputer.de/english/konsolen/cbscolecomodul2.html - atmicrat, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Why not turn the wii mote sideways without stupid piece of plastic?
- Cruelapollo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Is that really how I'm going to have to play my racing games? What happens when I get pissed off and throw the controller across the room?
- blindr, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4A cheap hollow piece of plastic, with no resistance or sense of realism?
ill pass. I don't see how anyone could not make one themselves. - StudlyDego73, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Apparently there aren't many fans of The Office(US version) in this thread. No other reason nreynolds is dugg down.
- novaneil, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3Mii like Wii.

Please note the section on race, then shut the hell up. - ChileanGoD, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3French developer
- Chrissilvanet, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3lol, that is probly going to be the most unaccurate, horrible feeling peice of "innovation" that you will ever get your hands on, like the guy said above me,
"A cheap hollow piece of plastic, with no resistance or sense of realism?
ill pass. I don't see how anyone could not make one themselves."
Pretty much dead on. Its almost unbearable the fanboyism on this site. This "wheel" is not a robust groundbreaking innovation that will be held as the epitome of greatness in any decade this century. Its simply a cheap peice of plastic that goes right along with Nintendo's price point drive to sell the Wii. Thank god its a pack-in item, I would laugh if it was any more. You get what you pay for, plain and simple. - matija, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3lame, no actual gameplay/controller footage, just talking about it..
