Wii remote makes you productive, from the other side of the office. - goodshape, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"don't see a point... i have a mouse..."
Controlling a MythTV box (or similar) with the Wiimote would be fantastic. - drathosX3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"But can you use your mouse from 400 feet away? I didn't think so."
why would you? could you see the monitor?

- a3r0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15They haven't figured out how to use the sensor bar yet, so this movement looks like its based only off of the accelerometers, making it pretty inaccurate. When they finally get that part done, we'll hopefully have as much control as with a mouse
- dracula7, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6gyroscopic mice are sold without ir sensors to position them and they work fine. if this mouse were a little more sensitive it could work really well-especially for media center pcs...
cant wait for the os x driver - mrkmrk, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2The sensor bar only emits IR signals. They just need to get a way to power it, and they're good.
- Klisk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I hope they figure it all out. I'd love to try using the remote with FPSers.

- DarkMeld, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2I was so ecstatic when if saw the video and the possibilities. Then theres a guy that called it fake. thanks for burstin my f-ing bubble
- turpenine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7nobody called it fake.
- clkou, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Agree. Ironically, you said thanks for bursting your bubble, when you are really disappointed about the possibility that the story is not truthful, just like you when you said thanks when you really meant "no thanks".
"Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practive to decieve". - TROGDOR42, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4YA WiiLi!

- joaob, on 10/12/2007, -16/+4fake.
- contextclouds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Have you actually tried the drivers, or are you just saying that?

- plnegative1, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3If this was real, why doesnt it zoom out so we can see that his hand is not on the mouse? O yeh, cause it is
- turpenine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6because its being filmed by one guy.
- plnegative1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How do you know that? You don't.
- garugaga, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2@a3r0 The wii-mote is inaccurate because the driver isn't tweaked or even fully completed yet. It has been discovered that the sensor bar sends absolutely no data along the cable, it just uses that cable for power. The sensor bar is just a couple or IR lights. People have been using candles instead of the sensor bar and it works fine.

- goldentofu, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3It's fake.
- Klisk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3How can something you're able to download and use yourself be fake?
http://www.wiili.org/Wiimote_driver
Dude, seriously? Maybe computers are fake too!

- ElChimbonda, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The PS3 controller must be green with envy.
- Fifthace, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2It's definitely a fake. You don't see anything that proves someone isn't hiding underneath the screen using a mouse (and laughing his chops off), plus the Bluetooth Wii uses for its remotes have extra propriety code, meaning you can't just hook it up to any other Bluetooth equipment.
Not sure how this trash gets onto digg!!- SuperNick, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5wrong post bury me
- moet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4What the hell is all that crap open on his screen?
- dopesick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What the heck is so special about a bluetooth wireless motion sensing mouse?
Doesnt anyone remember the gyroscopic wireless mice from the mid to late 90's... - freeagent99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not using a Wii controller, but the concept of a gyroscopic mouse has been around a while. You can get one here http://www.gyration.com/en-US/ProductDetail.html?modelnum=GC1005M&accshow=3
- turpenine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2why is this not on the frontpage now?
