- bpwwhirl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+46Um, I've played the Wii at the fusion tour. there is DEFINITELY rumble in the wiimote.
- thesilvershadow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+34"I remember reading how Miyamoto said in an interview that the Wiimote itself wouldn't have rumble, as it was being replaced by the speaker."
Where did you read that? That's the first I've heard mention of the force-feedback feature being removed from the Wii Remote. The same issue of EDGE magazine also mentions the rumble feature in the Remote, not just the Nunchuck, so you can stop worrying. - dagamer34, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Nintendo itself has said that the controller is still under constant flux there are a couple of small things that could be changed before release.
Perrin Kaplan said that there would be more secrets about the system, but nothing like the info we got on Sept 15th. - Fitzavig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I've taken apart a few controllers in my time (too cheap to buy new ones) and there is the possibility that the rumble is screwed onto the back of that chip there.
On second thought, there's probably just wires in the back where I thought it'd fit. But in the defense of the rumble rumor, they could've just redesigned it and that's an older model that was dissected. You won't know 100% until you actually have people trying the thing after all. - Ironman11, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8If I'm paying $20 for it, I would hope it includes rumble. Of course, if true the drawback is that this will drain the Wiimote's AA batteries faster.
- KiriA500, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6IGN is often very correct with what they say.
South Park for the Nintendo 64 got a 7 out of 10. Since IGN said it, it must be a good game!
[/omega sarcasm] - moofree, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yellow snowballs too
- evilizor, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6IGN stated no rumble. So I ain't believing it.
- solarisom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Horrible game, but the cow launcher was priceless.
- cathars1s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Think about playing as Master Hand in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
- Larke2000, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2nintendo must not have gotten the memo from sony about rumble interfering with the motion sensor.
- Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I'm still wondering if they tried to bring back the powerglove in the early design stage of making the Wii controller, I'd really like to see other ideas and prototypes they had for it.
- bevanl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nunchuck with Vibration?, thank you Nintendo for inventing the Rumble Pak (a few years back) for the Nintendo 64 , Motion Sensoring and Vibration add enjoyment to the game :-)
- Gustomucho, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Power Glove was uber crap. Every finger was a button, plus you had a complete "controller" on it.
Mine broke 2 days after I bought it. - sunnyboy06, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2It's always been said that both the wiimote and nunchuck will have rumble features. please, research before you post.
- CrimsonFlash, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1No, not the Wiimote, the Nunchuck attachment.
previously that just had the mostion sensor in it. - Blah_Blah_Blah, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2im sure you cant turn the rumble off either right?
- rejectpenguin, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Seriously.. Since when is this news? I remember hearing about the wiimote having rumble features the day it was announced.
- TheThing, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3This is a rumor and is by no means a confirmation.
- TheLlamaIs, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2This is a great find and all but I think the Nintendo fanboys are starting to get a tad out of hand.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Wii as much as the next Nintendo fanboy, but I can wait 20 days to find out if it has rumble or not. Even if it doesn't, I won't die, because it's a great system, and a rotating motor with an uneven weight doesn't make the gaming experiance any better.
Now, lets say the nunchuck DOESN'T have a rumble feature, don't you think that fans who NEED it will demand it? If there's a demand, Nintendo will provide, so ya know what, even if it doesn't come with a rumble feature in 20 days, you'll all live, and it will eventually.
Not Digg worthy IMHO. - GodsHand, on 10/12/2007, -13/+7Marked as inaccurate.
- djSyndrome, on 10/12/2007, -13/+6You guys should really read the thread before you digg this up. There's no rumble in the nunchuck.

Where did you read that?"
A magazine mistook a different comment for that one. - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1are you sure that's not one of the knockoff's? Although i guess the nunchuck knockoff wouldn't really make sense compared to the Wiimote knockoff.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2we don't need a minute by minute report of Nintendo.
- babylonian, on 10/12/2007, -37/+4I remember reading how Miyamoto said in an interview that the Wiimote itself wouldn't have rumble, as it was being replaced by the speaker. I'm glad that the Wii has rumble in some form, but I don't know how much I like it only being on one side.
Of course, that's assuming the Wiimote definitely won't have it, which would also be a bad choice.
Damnit, Nintendo, the system comes out in less than a month. How are you keeping all this stuff a secret?!
