- omalika, on 10/12/2007, -4/+178So, if they made a WoW for the Wii, America would lose it's place as the most obese country?
- billbejNJ, on 10/12/2007, -9/+179I joined Digg to digg this *****.
- ezikiel2517, on 10/12/2007, -6/+105You lose even more weight with the PS3 because it empties out your wallet.
- deporitaz, on 10/12/2007, -19/+99In Soviet Russia, Digg ***** you!
- jewdiknight, on 10/12/2007, -6/+83Even in a completely PS3 free post someone finds the time to knock it. But I am not above it.
You lose even more weight with the PS3 because it is so heavy to carry home, only to realize it sucks balls and you need to carry it back to the store to return. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+85On Digg, you get blocked for dumb Soviet Russia jokes.
- spiffyfitz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+64I didn't think it would actually work. It looks like I'm going to have to start tomorrow.
- Minim4c, on 10/12/2007, -3/+64Do we need more reasons to get a wii?!?
I need a wii to work out now. :D - TiMMY8765, on 10/12/2007, -0/+48and imagine what happens when you let go of one
- APHughes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+43New excuse to play the Wii, I'm working out
- anymir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35@deporitaz
Um, Family Guy did not start Soviet Russia jokes. In fact, that episode of Family Guy even mentions Yakov Smirnoff.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_reversal - Trogdor420, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36Dude, honestly.... I fail to see what that has to do with ANYTHING.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -6/+36Digg me down.
- ezikiel2517, on 10/12/2007, -4/+33You win
- bwanac, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28Impressive Wii Sports workout regime.
- benijuana, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22haha...don't worry, we'll dominate wii sports before you know it
- jewdiknight, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Um, I don't even get what you are trying to say.
- theseans, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21I like the idea of it emptying your wallet so you cant eat
- timelf123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Great blog!
This post is actually complete with all the information about his workout, unlike some other ones I've sen - theteuton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Now imagine how much weight you would lose playing with special 20 pound wiimotes
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19http://www.geekculture.com/joyoftech/joyarchives/906.html
IT'S TRUE!! - alanman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17you have weak retinas
- Jesty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15@broomett
*Virtual Boy
*Nintendo DS
*Donkey Konga
*WarioWare Twisted
There's plenty more! - aaaleman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Lose! Not loose.
Lose, not loose: I'm an optimist; telling that to one person at a time might decrease further butchering of the language. Moreover, no guilty, elementary schoolteacher feelings remain after reprimanding annoying trolls. - matthewaaron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Actually, You can use the PS3 to workout as well, but it gets expensive at $500-$600 a toss.
- RyanPT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2006/20061113.jpg
I think this pretty much sums it up. - ISIfunded911, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Obviously nerds ignore that a fit body makes girls so horny.
4 weeks into the wii sports experiment his girlfriend noticed how sexy his body had become and they ***** like crazy for hours everyday during the last 2 weeks of the wii sex experiment.
3 hours of sex X 14 days X ? calories = magic number that proves this guy is perfectly honest.
New adjusted sales forecast for the Wii in 2007: 3,000,000,000.
Sony will go bankrupt this summer, when heat makes girls naturallly horny and the new wii race of supermen takes other the woman race forever.
Linux will finally destroy Microsoft thanks to the wii men because they are Macrohard. - soogy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15I'm waiting for someone to do a Russian reversal on that sentence.
- tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12...D-pad
Shoulder buttons
Analog stick
Rumble pack
Should we go on? - shadus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10You could add ankle and wrist weights easily... and they'd be less likely to fling loose and fly through your monitor :P
- nanboya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Why wouldn't it work? 15-30 minutes of exercise a day is exercise, whether your "pretending" to do sports or doing the real thing. If anything, this was probably more effective because he was able to stay on a strict schedule of "working out". Kudos to him!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9lol, he provided before/after pics and provided meticulously detailed information while charting the changes in every conceivable way, and you still doubt it? What exactly would it take to convince you?
- w3stfa11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Wow that's amazing! The best part is that he's going to continue his 'workout' (gaming) routine.
- Kourgin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11I just Lol'd. A masturbation joke.
- theteuton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8True.... Wii is going to be the downfall of our youth's hinge joints.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Except running is boring and high-impact (damaging to your knees), whereas Wii Sports is fun and low-impact.
- tuxidomasx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7i like thick girls
so i guess that means i like loose weight - shadus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6First, you obviously know nothing you haven't google'd about weight loss. I would suggest you brush up on the subject a bit before spouting off when you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
I can't remember the last time I was logged out of digg. It's your computer man, why don't you fix it instead of blaming your problems on the programmers. - daridave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Judging from the graph, you can easily see he had a harder time around christmas.
Hmm, fooooood....
My bet is he would have got even better results if he did this now, in January... (cuz we all feel more guilty, it's a fact, the subscription rate at my gym is 350% in January) - dilbertmouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@fifty50
Fitness is not about the action involved, but the state of mind required to commit to a regime day-in and day-out. I would be horrified to know how much intelligent people have spent on fitness machines sold in infomercials, magazine ads, etc. (Personally, I think $250 is a killer deal for a media center / game console / workout machine). The truth is, if it motivates you to get up every day and work out, then it's worth it. - Linh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6but you can meet hot girls who come to your place to play wii
- saska, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6fifty50, do you run 5 days a week? If you have that incentive and motivation, good for you. Most of the people reading this article play video games at least 5 times a week, and maybe now they will exercise.
- GreenfireStorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Digg for the Rocky reference at the end.
- Kourgin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Hahaha, yes, because the entire rocky theme song was not playing throughout the video.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5broomet doesn't take into account that once you get your heart rate going after a bit of workout, you continue to lose calories/weight for a while. It doesn't just abruptly stop the second you put down the Wiimote.
This is why aerobics instructors will tell you that 30min - 1 hour of aerobics in the morning is sufficient; you don't have to run for hours a day. - ChrisRX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That's possible, but remember that you're more likely to train doing exercise that you enjoy.
If you like running then you're going to feel more motivated to go out and lose weight by running. For someone who doesn't like to run, they're more likely to skip days and eventually give up.
This man happens to enjoy playing wii sports and so he feels motivated to keep playing, I personally exercise by playing DDR, but I don't care at all for running, so it's all about finding an exercise regime that suits you and that you enjoy - jawsch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I can't wait to see WiiAerobics.
I'm actually surprised this is the first I've heard of "Wii Elbow". I remember when I was into martial arts they always warned us against punching without resistance (i.e. pads/bag) because it's bad for your joints. - CorruptRay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4yea Philly! -i figured it would work, have you ever boxed like 3 full games in a row after you're pro? it gets ridiculously hard and your arms burn when you're done - you could probably tone up a bit just boxing
