- gin613, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That happened to me as well, except in my case it was really weird, it looked like the opponent tried to bounce himself off the ropes. We were just fighting regularly then he moves back, the rope ripples and when he went towards me I hit him with an uppercut. I was trying it with my friend but it doesn't look you can bounce off the ropes on purpose. Cool though.

I've confirmed that are different versions of Wii Sports. Like many of the posters here, the version that came with my Wii does not have boxing replays. There are some other minor changes as well (e.g. in baseball outfielders will throw balls back to the pitcher).
I called Nintendo and they confirmed the different version. The discs that ship out with newer systems seem to have it. System updates don't patch old versions. Nintendo offered to sell me a new disc ($15 plus $7 shipping). They did not offer to replace my version. But I didn't push it. I'm not sure what the warranty policy is... maybe if your old disc were to accidentally get scratched they'd send you a new version?
