- calebdesu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3There's a miniature light bulb in the wii? Cool, I guess. I hope Nintendo has some interesting ideas lined up for that.
- calebdesu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2psssht no lightbulb?? I'm not buying it anymore :'(
- Makubex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3hahaah, no, it uses the same ammount of power as a miniature light bulb while in standby mode. there is no lightbulb in it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah honestly. I thought Nintendo was innovative, but without that lightbulb there's no way I'm buying one.
- faulkner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1why do i want content to be delivered when i'm not using it?
- rileyjt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Its certainly an interesting idea but it leaves a lot of questions to be asked. How much of the system would be running? Obviously you are writing to the harddrive and need the basics of the OS to handle the data. What exactly will they download and how long before your hard drive is full? Will 24/7 connection shorten the life of the console? (I am certain this would be an issue for the hot running 360 and PS3).
One of my biggest gripes about XBL is that you always have to wait for stuff to download so something like this would seem to alleviate much of that - MicHalpin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1as far as I have heard the Wii only has 512mb internally and has a sd card reader so it could fill up pretty quickly
